Got 2 minutes in and nothing other than stroking themselves about supposedly being correct about some mock draft competition. I'm out.

They were decent and reasonable. They actually talk about the injury and it’s massive risk. Kcsn guys were sucking their own dicks so hard and refuse to even talk about the risk.

Yeah - this is gonna be a bit of a beat-off session from most of the KC Sports Media. The KCSN lab guys are going to be intolerable -- not going to bother.

I am interested to hear Verdarame's take on this, though. Because he's been the most measured about it the whole time. Very much of the "Man, that knee worries me but he sure does seem to have more talent than is usually available at that spot..."

The rest of 'em...I'm skipping. I know what that show's gonna be before listen to it. A whole lot of guys patting themselves on the back for being right. Okay - enjoy your victory lap.

But I'd like to hear what someone who isn't nearly as vested in the pick itself has to say. Verderame is the only one I can think of who wasn't "Simmons or Bust" over the last month.

Matt Derrick was present at the Draft presser, and gives more detail on the medicals

We all know this is a long shot. It works out or it doesn't. It's a home run or a strike out. As a prospect he's a top 10 talent - as injuries go it's a horrible one to have.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Faces for radio.

But they are not much different than the average CP’er who bangs 3 different chicks per week.

I mean they're both probably representative of their audience but like the saying "you eat with your eyes", they look like a plate of Cincinnati chili and are probably damaging their product by turning their cameras on

Like its hard to press play looking at that still frame in the OP

He had a pod this morning. Here are the cliff notes:

-Gave the pick a C+
-Acknowledged that Simmons is very talented
-Is worried about the injury on a 300+ lbs player
-They better be right
-The upside is undeniable if they are are right
-They better be right
-No pick would help the future more if they are right
-Matt wanted Burden
-Again…they better be right

He made a great point that today needs to be a great day for Veach. Needs to get 3 guys to come in and make an immediate impact now

Yeah, I appreciate that.

Derrick has torn both patellar tendons, so he knows first-hand what the recovery is like and what the "new normal" is - less than what "normal" was in the past.
