Sims made another interesting observation about the Chiefs slow start. He made the argument on another vid that the long Remegio return basically forced us (understandably) to throw out the opening script that was undoubtedly designed to help get Mahomes into rhythm after 3+ weeks off. It forced them to go into their red zone packages which helps explain a bit why he was off on those early throws (though the poor run and dropped pass by Pacheco didn’t help).

Not sure I buy it or not but I guess it could be the case.

Not sure I buy it or not but I guess it could be the case.

I thought in real time right after the return that it could be an issue with our scripted offense. Instead of plenty of space to work with and get things going it was an immediate switch to a pressure situation.
