Cowher is a better coach, and trying to ascribe the KC connection as the only reason why people believe this isn't fair or accurate. |

I think players around the league respect Cowher, and I think he could attract some good Free Agents and assistant coaches.
I wouldn't be opposed to having Cowher, although I'd like to see something fresh with new school ideas like Chip Kelly. This is a new era of Football and X's and O's... this isn't the 80's and 90's style of Defense/running game football anymore. |

That team wins multiple championships if they have any semblance of a legit QB. Again, who was he supposed to draft? Chad Pennington? Patrick Ramsey? Rex Grossman? Sure, after 13 years, Cowher realized he needed a QB - and what do you know, he was drafting 11th in a great QB class. How fortunate. |

It's because he lucked his way into the 11th overall pick.

The same championship Billick produced, but given 7 more years and a HOF QB. |

He's run the same system every year he's been in Philly. He's drafted players to fit the scheme, not vice versa. He likes his mobile, rollout QBs with a verticle passing game. He likes his jitterbug runningbacks that catch out of the backfield. Andy Reid has a system and he's going to draft players to fit it. I honestly don't have a huge issue with that, but it is what it is. He's going to get a nice offense installed wherever...provided that he's able to get his head into the game. I just worry where his mind is going to be right now. I really think he (and his employer, this year or the next) would be better served by him stepping away from the game for a year and getting his mind right. The last few years have to have been brutal on him personally and that's a recipe for coach burnout if ever there was.

My apologies. I was rolling my eyes on those that are shitting on Cowher and pimping Billick. TBH Id rather have Jon Gruden over a guy like Billick. Not a big fan of either. |

If we get Reid, I think Reid will be onboard with drafting Geno, and that is a good thing.

Billick adapts to being a "defensive coach," yet Cowher is criticized for sustained success? Billick, who was fired, just didn't get as many opportunities? More like didn't earn enough opportunities. |

Oh God damn...
Now we are saying Billick didn't have a chance at a franchise qb? Trade up. You have bitched for years that we haven't. Only the last two have been cost controlled. Double standards Posted via Mobile Device |

Flaaco was pretty bad his first few years. Pssh its because harbaugh is a better coach. Billick is a mediocre coach. You havent seen teams tearing down doors to get him for a reason.
