Adam Schefter, Bronco Homer

@AdamSchefter
As deserving as Curtis Martin is, it's hard to watch him being inducted and not think how @Terrell_Davis should one day join him. Truth.

I remember the season he had 2000 yards. It was so cheap, because they ran him into the ground that last game until he had 2000, it was kind of embarrassing.

If Davis deserves to go in so do a lot of RBs, including Holmes.

No doubt...the fact it took so long for Art Monk to be inducted and was blocked, actively, by Peter King for so many years proves the problem with the Hall.

The years he played in an alternate universe with John Elway, the best OL in football and three Pro Bowl receivers.

Gale Sayers was electric.

There had been no one like him before him.

He changed how the RB was viewed.

i think its funny that when people want to dis elway, they argue he only did well when TD came along...

and conversely, when someone wants to diss TD, its by saying he did well thanks to playing with elway...

cant have it both ways... which is it?...

Well, both...if you want to be consistent with your SB measurement.

Elway couldn't win it all on his own, so the Rat came up with an zone blocking scheme that was on the border of "legal" to give him a running game that took the pressure off of Horseteef.

In short, Elway needed the scheme to win.

Those people are stupid.

John Elway was a HOFer.

Terrell Davis was a good RB, but I can find you 4 or 5 RBs in the NFL right now that are as good as he was.

Hell, Jamal Lewis is more deserving. 10,000 yards, including a 2000 yrd season.

montana benefited from a great scheme and terrific talent surrounding him...

Aikman had emmit and emmitt had aikman...

Brady has BB and BB has Brady...

you can make this argument for virtually every SB winner... you don't win SBs without great talent and schemes... no one player didnt have this type of support when winning it all...

at the end of the day, people just tip their hat to the players accomplishments... doing anything else is simply hating...
