I wouldn't call them "shit" throws cause they were obviously catchable. But I will agree not all of his passes were lasers between the numbers. Then again, that's why we pay WR's millions of $'s.

I would say Cassel has some timing issues, which isn't difficult to understand since he hasn't thrown a bunch in preseason. Several of his passes could have possibly went for more yards after the catch, if they would have been placed in a better spot. I imagine he will come around with more game experience

If Cassel goes down we really are in the Luck sweepstakes.


Cassel is very important to this offense. He rarely turns the ball over, is tough as nails, is one hell of a leader. He is good enough to win us games we should win, but I am not convinced that he can win a game when it is on his shoulders.

Throwing in practice and throwing in a game are two different things. This was really the first game we saw a lot of him. He could have been better but he moved the chains, protected the ball and got us in the endzone. Yes, the WR's helped at times but that's what they are supposed to do.
