Google music now live
Google's cloud based Music site is live. Supposedly you can upload up to 20,000 of your own songs to play from anywhere. They are supposed to be adding artist support where you can buy songs like iTunes but they are still in negotiation.

Well this sucks. No way to add music without a Windows or Mac computer. Just replaced my MBP and am testing Linux distros, no plans on using Windows. Somebody published a Chrome app for uploading music (MusicAlpha), which no longer works due to a change on Google's end. Can't upload from any of my Android device either. How lame.

So you have to upload the songs yourself? Screw that. Just use playlist.com. I just pull that up on my cell phone, boom. Free MP3 player with any song you want

For what it's worth, Google Music is now fully live. Still free to upload your own music, built-in music store, and free sharing on Google Plus. Nothing mind blowing there.

The one feature that seems like it could end up being pretty big is that artists (of any size) can now upload their music to a Google Plus page and sell songs directly to people. That could be pretty cool for local bands whose music is hard to find.
