Welcome to the 2010 ChiefsPlanet Mock Draft.

We have some new owners this year, so here's a quick run-down on the rules.

Each team will have 24 hours from the timestamp of the previous pick to make their selection. If your pick is not made within 24 hours, the next owner is free to make their selection.

The draft order is now final, with the exception of possible compensatory picks. As in past years, if the NFL announces an official list of compensatory picks BEFORE we finish the 3rd round, I'll add them in. If not, the draft order currently listed will remain. Any trades made in real life will NOT change the mock order from this moment on - personally, it's just too much work, and you run the risk of a pick being traded in real life after it's been made here in the mock.

If you think there is any chance you'll miss your pick, please try to send me a PM with a prioritized list of players - I'll select the highest priority player available from your list to keep things moving.

Please try to check in at least once a day, if not several times daily. We've never had an issue finishing 7 rounds in 6 weeks and I don't expect to have a problem this year - but it's up to you guys as owners to stay current.

When making your selection, please post the name, position and school of the player (follow Hamas' lead, he knows the drill - the correct format helps greatly when updating the header) and give a quick blurb about why you selected that particular player. Doesn't have to be a novel.

I'll be in class from 11:00 - 2:00, but I'll log back in to put Hamas on the clock at Noon.

Okay, this is a real dice roll for the Chargers, but they're good enough on offense that they can ease this guy into the game. Perhaps teach him how to catch the damn ball. If he gets a better pair of hands and the Chargers are able to retain Vincent Jackson, this pick makes them the best 1-2 option at WR in the entire NFL in a couple years.

Misi is a good pick for the Pack. He does fit what they're trying to do. Drafting for two 4-3 teams I found it hard to really gauge where he would fit. He was at the top of my board.

I got 3 starters, at 3 spots that would really improve their team...now a couple of nice depth picks going forward give the Pack something to work with.

The last few picks i've drafted defense and the offense still needs playmakers. Benjamin Watson is average so i'll draft another target for whoever the QB will be in Cleveland. This guy has 4.4 speed and great hands. He will make a great tandom with Spiller and Cribbs because he's fast and a great athlete. The Browns select

Dorin Dickerson Pittsburgh.

The choices are threefold for the Vikings at this point:

(a.) I've gone value at both picks for them so far, but the team is genuinely hurting at corner. There are a couple corners available that would be worth this selection, but both are projects who wouldn't contribute right away. I feel like there are NFL-ready corners that will make me a good deal in the 4th and 5th.

(b.) The WR options at this selection look the best to me, primarily because of Andre Roberts who has looked like gold all offseason, and Riley Cooper. On the surface it doesn't look like the Vikes would have much room for Roberts, who I'd pick here, because they still have faith that Bernard Berrian can turn it on. But Berrian's not a very good #2, and Percy Harvin's just a slot/returner. There's room for Roberts.

(c.) The Vikes would be doing themselves well by considering a QB with starter potential. Jevon Snead is who I think the Vikes would like the most. They like a QB who can gun it and spread the field, and McCoy and Pike don't have that aspect to their game. If the Vikes want a likeminded QB for Favre to rub off on, Snead makes the most sense. Snead is going to have to learn tremendous discipline, though, because his mental errors are the ones that kill his team the most.

I really like Snead, good pick for the Vikes. If Farve comes back they have trade bait with either Tavares or Sage.

I kinda think you get rid of Jackson and you let Sage prove himself while Snead holds the clipboard for a couple years.

This team must fortify the position behind Favre. They go back to square 1 when Favre leaves if they don't.

I've gone value at both picks for them so far, but the team is genuinely hurting at corner. There are a couple corners available that would be worth this selection, but both are projects who wouldn't contribute right away. I feel like there are NFL-ready corners that will make me a good deal in the 4th and 5th. (b.) The WR options at this selection look the best to me, primarily because of Andre Roberts who has looked like gold all offseason, and Riley Cooper. On the surface it doesn't look like the Vikes would have much room for Roberts, who I'd pick here, because they still have faith that Bernard Berrian can turn it on. But Berrian's not a very good #2, and Percy Harvin's just a slot/returner. There's room for Roberts. (c.) The Vikes would be doing themselves well by considering a QB with starter potential. Jevon Snead is who I think the Vikes would like the most. They like a QB who can gun it and spread the field, and McCoy and Pike don't have that aspect to their game. If the Vikes want a likeminded QB for Favre to rub off on, Snead makes the most sense. Snead is going to have to learn tremendous discipline, though, because his mental errors are the ones that kill his team the most. The Vikings select QB Jevon Snead, Ole Miss.
