Here's what I think of things so far:
Rams: 1. Clausen 2. Price 3. Saffold I absolutely love all three of these players, and I think Saffold is a sleeper. Guy has played for nearly his entire career against great passrushers in the Big 10. Price and Clausen are of course great picks. Lions: 1. Okung 2. McCourty 3. Alualu This draft doesn't really excite me like the Rams' does, but it's a necessary draft. I think Alualu and McCourty have pretty good upside, but neither one are barn-burning value picks either. Okung I think is a necessary pick for the Lions at this point. None of the elite OTs will fall to them in the 2nd. Bucs: 1. Suh 2. Benn 3. Cox I hate the Benn selection with LaFell, Williams, and Thomas on the board. Yeeeesh. I still like McCoy for them more than Suh (call me crazy), but Cox is a great pick that they needed to make. Chiefs: 1. Berry 2. Hughes 2. Jones 3. Gilyard Other than the Berry pick, I think this is a kinda blah draft. I'm not a big fan of many of the WRs in this draft, including Gilyard. Jones is a good pick, he really is, but I'm not going to get excited over two safeties in our top three picks in the most important draft of the Pioli era. And as for our 2a... well, OTW knows what he did. Raiders: 1. JPP 2. Ducasse 3. Price I don't like any of these players, honestly. I would have gone a completely different direction. SNR and I are already in the midst of a torrid love affair, and I'm pretty sure the fact that I hate his Raiders selections so far will only make it sexier. Eagles: 1. Griffen 2. Veldheer 3. Chaney I don't like Veldheer, but Griffen and Chaney are great picks for what the Eagles want to do in this Draft. |

If Hamas would have passed on Price I would have taken him for Detroit and then added Cox in the third.

The Browns Draft I'm okay on to this point.
1. Spiller 2. Robinson 3. Norwood It's too early for Norwood (he's looked like dogshit this offseason), but I won't deny that I like him. But I would have passed on Norwood and used the 3-4 OLB depth in this class to my advantage. |

I find it hard to criticize otw's draft thusfar for the chiefs. I would have gone a different direction with the pick in the top of the third. But at 50 there he was put in a tough spot. Its too early for cam thomas, imo, and really given the value available, you just have to take your bpa. Chad jones is a great value pick there even if he's a player who is just nice to have.

We'll see, because he was rather stud-like last season so if that translates to the NFL he could be quite a pick for the Lambs.

I don't think he has huge upside but I still absolutely love him as a 4-3 undertackle. If it was Kevin Williams instead of Pat Williams on the verge of retiring, I would have picked up Price at the bottom of the 1st for the Vikes. |

* Terrance Cody * Damian Williams * I'd flip a coin between Hughes and Chris Cook, but probably would have gone with Hughes because it's a much more important position. But yeah, I would have gone with Cody. |

The Bills need a franchise quarterback if they want to ever emerge as a playoff contender. Unfortunately, they'll need to trade up in the 2010 NFL Draft to land one because so many other teams will be desperate to draft Jimmy Clausen and Sam Bradford. With Clausen and Bradford well off the board, the depth looks bleak from there. Jarrett Brown has third round value. He has a cannon of an arm but is raw. However, there is one other QB/God out there who has a higher value and better overall athlete. If you are going to develop a quarterback, you might as well have one that helps put rear ends in the seats and a face of the franchise. I can't believe I'm the one who is doing this but...
With the 72nd pick, the Buffalo Bills select Tim Tebow, QB, Florida. Tebow has the arm and skill set to be a starting QB. Tony Dungy and Jon Gruden both said they'd take Tebow over any QB in this draft. It's just going to take time to see if they are right. |

Plus, just about every single one of our picks in 2009 was a project. I think the Chiefs could use more NFL-ready players, and other than returning kicks, I think it's going to be a couple years before Gilyard contributes seriously. He needs to get his route-running down. |
