Cornell vs. Jayhawks

On right now....kind of. JTV wasn't satisfied with using a camera with a vaseline smeared lense, now they made the game completely unwatchable. Add to it Gurley and Armstrong.....ugh.

Not watching, but KU up 7-4.

I'm sick and tired of hearing people (KU fans and others) talking about how great a team is from 3 point range and that's why they mysteriously lost. It's part of the game. Do you hear anyone snidely talking about how an NFL team lost because the opposing kicker is money from beyond the 40? NO. Because it's part of the ****ing game. Don't like it, defend it better.

By the way, quit talking yourselves into how great Cornell really is. They lost to Seton Hall at home, and almost lost to the Alabama team that KU fans kept telling us wasn't very good.
Good thing they showed that stat during the game last night.... Otherwise people wouldnt of known that information....

It was a great game against a quality opponent, and gave KU some close game experience. The officiating could have been better, but overall both teams got away with some stuff, and as you said, its part of the game.

These types of games are exactly what Self needs to emphasize his defense-first philosophy. When the shots don't fall, you gotta rely on your D.
It was just a tough game vs a quality opponent. You still have to fight through and win on an off night. It takes toughness and close games to make a championship team. You can't expect to blow everybody out, not when the parity is so close anymore. Winning a game on an off night vs a quality opponent is a win/win.

Just let the talkers talk and the Jayhawks will walk all the way to the FF !

I've only seen the game once so far, but the only horrible call that I remember was the no-call on the travel (right before Self's technical).

KU was at home and shot over twice as many free throws (mostly due to Sherron), so I don't see how people could be going ape-shit over officiating.

Who's going ape-shit? I don't see that going on here.

I only remember two really bad calls. The first is the travel that Self exploded over. Then, there was the one where the Cornell player was fouled, ball on the floor, took 3 steps and a shot and then they counted the basket. That was pretty bad, too.

It was pretty bad when Collins (?) was racing back from a rebound and basically bitch slapped the defender around mid court. I was watching on 360 and it locked up and I was sure Cornell was gonna be shooting from the line, but instead it was Collins.
