Nebraska did a pretty good job of filling needs. They still have a 4* JUCO defensive lineman coming to visit on Friday.

KU's class will rate ahead of Mizzou's likely and just neck and neck with Nebraska's. Right around the top 25 range.

Missouri just got a huge OL commit - Chris Freeman.

He was one of the "maybe's" going into today.

Sounds like Ronnie Wingo is sticking with Arkansas, but there's rumors he could be waivering.

Unbelievable the drama involved in some of these situations.

KU is basically only waiting on Shane Gordon. A big time LB out of Florida that is verballed to Pittsburgh right now. I bet he sticks, but he did visit KU this past weekend.

How accurate are the "star" ratings? Is a 4 star recruit twice as good as a 2 star?

I think it comes down to good coaching.

Five-star juco DT Justin Thompson out of El Camino CC has already signed with Memphis, so that's nice. At one point he'd verballed to Oregon.

Higher star players typically have shown more potential and athleticism. Whether they ever realize that potential depends on coaching, health, staying out of trouble, putting in the work, etc.

And sometimes, they end up having no position in college. Greg Hinds was a godlike player in high school, highly touted by the likes of Lemming, and a Parade 2nd Team All-American, but he never found a position in college until a brief (due to the end of his eligibility) experiment as a fullback -- and that was on the Memphis roster, so it's not like he was going up against all of the talent in the world.

A high school, defensive version of Tim Tebow, if you will.

I can't get worked up about the rankings thanks to Bill Callahan. He couldn't coach the talent he brought in. I have a lot more confidence in Pelini, despite his classes not being ranked as high.

Also, Rivals and Scout differ greatly on their ranking of a couple Mizzou recruits. Several Nebraska recruits received postseason accolades that contradict their low star rating.

Looks like Nu'keese Richardson is signing with Tennessee. He wanted to early enroll at Florida but he's not smart enough and didn't have the grades/test scores, so he'll fit right in at Tennessee.
