Whats ridiculous is those 'display' items that don't get marked down. I stopped by a Linens'n'Things that was a ghost town, down to selling the displays shelves, and they still had a Cuisinart coffee maker at 40% off!!!!!! only it was beat to heck and the lid of the carafe was missing, and the carafe itself had a dent in it. Still over $100.
Circuit City actually did not send any of their inventory from liquidating stores to normal stores... The liquidators bought it and it help kill the company even more. Why? All of that shit was in their BF ad and was out of stock at their normal stores. But the liquidating stores had em still though... It was great to harass the company forums with all of our inventory...

I got banned for telling the HR rep on there to kiss my ass and come fly her ass to KC if he wanted to fire me. (Why did I do this?) I no longer worked for the company and got tired of all the lies they told and all of the koolaid drinkers at the company that sheeped around. The liquidators paid my wage so the HR people couldn't do shit. It was great, well until they banned me, I had way more shit to talk..

I bet my store manager is loving me right now, I had to beg and convince him not to transfer to Lincoln store.. Because CC was going under and he would be closing another store without severance.. He finally told the GM 'thanks, but no thanks'..

That company is one of the most morally corrupt companies I have ever witnessed at the corporate levels.. They were blaming everything on the recession and not on their own incompetence..

It sucks that all of those people are out of jobs, but it is for the best.. That company needed to go under..

---------

As for the dent, the liquidators buy the stuff all at a standard price broken or not.. And trust me, they will make a huge profit.. The average customer is an idiot.. I literally got to tell people that they were ignorant as we were closing the store for buying that product at a certain price..

I have no idea??

But I think it is because of something to do with bankruptcy..

Or they might have to pay a severance if they do??

Barrytowne in the northland lost Dicks which turned into Steve and Barry's which went under, lost linen and things, lost Circuit City and getting ready to lose Baby's R US.. So that entire strip will just have Target and Kohl's..

Hopefully they turn Target into a Super Target..

But hey at least Zona Rosa is doing great..

They still had to pay employees PTO and insurance during my liquidation..

Of course the company also said all PTO would be paid at termination on their main page, but in small print said they would no longer be paying it out and that was in a PDF document 14 pages long on another page..

What is great the same company would try and force you to not use your PTO.. If you worked 40 hours a week they would say you could not use any.. If you worked 30, you could use 10, but only if you were normally scheduled for 40..

They said it was illegal to pad your checks..

Well me, being the ass that I am.. faxed all my hours in.. Then I faxed everybody hours in also.. Luckily they all went through.. Some people had 200 hours of PTO saved up..

That sucks. I used to live in The Ethans off of Barry right after I graduated from college. I stocked up during the Ultimate Electronics liquidation. Aren't they shutting that BB across from Olive Garden down too?

Metro North has also been circling the drain for about 10 years.

They are suppose to, but it still gets great business even though one opened up in Tiffany and Liberty and keeps trucking on..

Metro North is just poorly ran, it would be back on top if they were smart or had me run it.. Get in Sears and Burlington Coat factory form Antioch to take 2 of the 3 empty anchor spots and try and convince 24 hour fitness or open a new gym in the other anchor spot.. A huge gym in one of those anchor stores would be awesome and draw lots of traffic in..

Then I would try and get a Friday's put in upstairs with an outside door so they can stay open late and same for the old Kelso's downstairs..

Then If I can finagle the old Bishop's/Furr's owner to open up inside so I can get more seniors in there..

Sad thing is I have plans for this that I made when I had my Punch software..

I always heard Metro had problems with leases...like they lost their GAP b/c they wanted way too much for the space, so they basically told them to 'eff off and moved to ZR.

And by "old Kelso's" do you mean the one that's right off a south entrance? I hope that place didn't close down. I loved their calzones.

They just built a brand new strip mall in Merriam with CC as THE anchor. I don't think any of the stores are even open yet and it's anchor is toast.

That actually was originally a Ultimate Electronics I believe.. Then Circuit City took it over and never opened it.. Guess what the CEO was the same person both times..
