do you know Ron Borges(?)..he's a boston sports writer, i guess

he was interviewed in 810, said we shouldn't hire Pioli...i didn't hear it but that's the gist according to the hosts

He WAS a Boston Sports writer before he was fired for plagarism.

Whatever sports writer you hate the most, multiply by ten, and that's how EVERY Patriots fan in New England feels about Borges. He is universally despised. I'm not kidding. For whatever reason, he HATES Belichick and has been unrelenting in his criticism from day one of the Belichick era. As you can imagine, given that Belichick actually, you know, wins, this has made him very unpopular 'round here.

I heard most of the interview on 810 this morning with the Boston writer... he didn't seem too hi on Pioli, giving all credit to Belichek...

he said he is just the kind of guy who wants people to "want" him but will always end up going back to his "old girlfriend"

that interview took a lot of the shine off of Pioli for me, but I'm still going to be happy if we get him

My sources high up in the local high school football team indicate Pioli contract is signed meaning he is the Chiefs GM. They are simply waiting until 3 days after Ramadan 2009 before announcing.
