what are your plans for New Years Eve?

Hubby surprised me with a night at the Hyatt and their big NYE bash complete with buffet and Champagne toast at Midnight

2 different bands playing a plethera of music

Check in is 3pm the 31st and 2 pm the 1st


I even think there is a fireworks display at midnight


should be really fun and romantic

Staying home and having a few friends over (5 or 6). We'll play some cards or something and get trashed. I have 2 spare bedrooms, a couch and a futon so no one will be driving home drunk.

all my single years i had badass times just as the times i have had a gf... of course i went out with huge groups, and the few times i actually hung out with my family when i didnt feel like out going out and got tons of food. good times

Yeah. My friends are married or have kids. I hang out with my dad way too much. He's awesome, but he's dad. Eh, can't be too bad. I can't even recall what I did last year.

I have alot of married friends too and they always throw gatherings etc at their pads, none of your friends do that??

Nope, they usually do stuff with one or two other "couples". I'd much rather spend it alone than being the odd man out come midnight. A single friend of mine is taking her kids to First Night (alcohol free family event downtown here with fireworks at midnight). I've been before, and it just wasn't my type of thing.

Your friends kinda suck, man ive been invited to a few parties and had to turn them down cause the gf and I are going out together, last year we had our own gathering and it was fun. I say if you get invited to something don't let the "odd man out" thing get you to not go...regardless have fun even if you're alone, rent a movie whatever and grab some snacks

We're not doing anything and I'm okay with that. We're leaving the baby tonight at my folks for the first time and going out for our anniversary.... so, in essence, tonight's our New Year.
