Opening weekend! Going anywhere to watch the game? Staying at home? Having people over?

No plans here yet. Go figure. I'd see if anyone from Springfield wanted to meet up to watch the game somewhere, but we know how well that goes over.

And for the record, when I worked at the TV station on Friday nights and weekends, I got the reports of their stops every Saturday morning from those checkpoints, and I don't think they ever only got one or two. Always was more like 15-20.
you should read the kc star online, the crime column shows the results of city checkpoints.

just seems to be a waste of $$$ to stop a couple thousand cars and give out 10 tickets.

i don't like drunk drivers any more than the rest of you do, i just think there are better ways to find them, other than stopping EVERYONE.

Missing the first game of NFL season by attending the BMW PGA finals.

A pretty good trade off since I would be stuck watching crap games in St. Louis.

I plan on going to Weber's Grill in Old Websters, they have all the games on, and it wasn't ever overly crowded last year. If I don't have to work....

I have been in Nebraska for two weeks, I'm looking forward to Fing off sat after I get back. Sunday I only want to leave the house for the game, then it's back to my undies and ordering chinese food.

My girl promised some special favors along with a back&foot rub, so I guess that goes into the mix somewhere.

I am good about not driving drunk at night, but I have a bad habbit of going over to a buddies or so and having 1 or 2 beers during the day. Then driving somewhere.
