The only thing anyone has is that 31 other teams who don't have anywhere near the track record of the Chiefs passed on him. That doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

Andy Reid, Brett Veach and Rick Burkholder each have more experience, knowledge and expertise on these matters in their morning shits than all of us do combined, and that's just a fact. They are all thrilled to have him and think he's going to be fine. That's really kind of enough for me. They've been wrong before, and will be again, but I'm certainly not going to hassle them for taking a top 10 talent at #32, even if he does end up completely flaming out. I'll still take that swing every damn time.

Crow , need to give you my two cents . I want to thank you for your worthwhile draft input . It was much appreciated. Between you DJ and Duncan I got more good info than I got on the network coverage . I especially appreciate the fact that you made your points without name calling or condescension. Appreciate your hard work . Maybe we can get you on tv in place of Koked Up Over Kaffeniated Kiper. Although seeing him spazz out and toss saliva all over the set is a hoot thanks again

The thing I will say I like most about this pick (other than the upside, which is something to dream upon) is the options KC has created here.

If Jaylon Moore is really good at LT, Suamataia is really good at LG, and Simmons is healthy and ready to go at RT, that could be the best alignment.

Or, if Simmons forces his way onto the field, your left guard becomes who is better between Moore and Suamataia and (queue laugh track) Caliendo. You've created competition and some redundancy at LT, LG, and RT.

That's a good thing.
The Chiefs were one of the few teams that had the luxury to risk taking this kid. Vrabel for example is not gonna start his tenure with a risk like this and neither were other teams in the top half of the draft, teams like the Texans have only a couple years left of their window with Stroud so they won’t want to risk wasting a year of it and teams like the Giants who are scared of being fired are not gonna risk it either.

Then there were teams like the Chargers and Broncos who have bookends for the foreseeable future and just don’t have the need.

Clark loves Andy and Veach. Their seats are probably ice cold. 5 SB’s in 6 years tends to buy you some comfortable leeway.

They got Moore so they chase the luxury of being patient. Breer made a great point that it wasn’t so much the risk of Simmons but the situation teams were in to afford the risk.

Think only the Chiefs, Packers and Ravens were realistic opportunities for him in rd 1.

Is it true if you say Denise's name 3 times, a hole will open up in the Earth and she'll show up?

It does occur to me that many of us are old people now and 90% of the people I'm tossing that little barb at have no idea what I'm talking about anyway...

Old school CP was wild, fellas...
