Vikings dont have a seond rounder. Their next pick is 97.

Pray Simmons is healthy and ready to roll. Find a way to get Henderson in the second. This draft could turn into an all timer!

Doesn't seem like our type at WR.

What would that cost to move up from 63? I know they have an extra 4th from next year from the Bears, but that's not gonna be enough to make THAT kind of jump.

A 2nd and a 4th next year?

Would that get it done to get from 63 to 38??
Oh I don't think you can state with any degree of certainty that he'll even make it past Cleveland. You can't 'guaranty' much of anything with Henderson.

He's so explosive that there could well be some team that has him 1 on their board right now.

63 and 66 should get you up into the high 30s, low 40s. If he's there at 40, I do think the Chiefs can get him without dipping into next year's pool. I think they could do it AND get a 6th back in the exchange to fill the last gap in their draft and end up with a pick in every round and some solid flexibility through day 3.

But it's a bit of a crap shoot.

I do think it's kinda funny the disconnect here.

Myself (and I suspect Crow and KC) are probably putting little to no weight into this season when it comes to an eventual 'grade' of the Simmons pick.

I honestly couldn't give a shit less if he's 'healthy and ready to roll' this year. That's not my concern now and never has been.

It's both gravy AND not the steak I'm looking for.

I really don't know what any of that means -- I just think it's interesting. I didn't figure anyone would be fired up about this pick because of his ability to contribute immediately. Or irritable if he can't.

And a lot of teams already have a back. Or aren't a back away from taking the next step.

So there are maybe 4-5 teams he'd need to 'sneak' by? And if there is just a guy or two they like more, maybe that's possible?

I'll just say that it's a possibility because he's not a conventional 'workhorse' back.

Unlikely. Not impossible.
I hope he falls- I’d love to game him on this team. I think he could be a James Cook type back

Ya'll gonna be eating some serious crow when he is a pro bowler in year 2 and all-pro by year 3. Sit back and enjoy the ride!

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Crossing from the draft area

Amos
Porter
Lennard
Umanmielen
Alexander
Norman-Lott
Judkins
Henderson

Henderson and Amos will likely be gone.

Porter, Judkins, Umanmielen should be around and this would about the right range they should go. Feels like a Umanmielen kind of selection in the 2nd.

Bears are going to take Treavon Henderson if he's there as Ben Johnson is building a Detroit clone. I just hope Chiefs can get what they need on the D line. I'd love a CB, and I feel we need a talented explosive RB, but not convinced we will take one.

I actually feel pretty good about CB right now. HB, WR, and DT need some names added to the list though.

Tuten I’m banging the table for 3rd round. But second round I just want burden and if that means trading two thirds so be it. He’s Jamar Chase I’m telling you. Their measurable, toughness, cockiness, he’s a clone.

If we don't take a HB I'd love Skattebo with a late 3rd. I think a 1b HB in the late 3rd is decent value. If we can take a home run hitter before then I'm good with that as well...
