Trade whatever possible for a LT prospect

I don’t care. If there’s a LT in this draft that they feel can be a good quality LT, do it.

I don’t care if it would cost three 1st rd picks. Mahomes is not gonna be this athletic for much longer.

It needs to happen

Also the reason I thought of Seattle is because they have BOTH #50 and #52. Thinking the pick swap from #52 to #66 isn't that bad because of that #50 pick PLUS gaining a extra 1st next year and still having our #31 this year instead of #18.
I’m not sure on the value. Jaylon Moore should be serviceable. He’s not the athlete that Simmons or Conerly is. He is strong and seems to be good fundamentally. We are in a good spot where we don’t have to reach for a LT. If it’s a good deal and the value is there, then trade up for Simmons if veach thinks he can play. Take a look at Jaylon on tape here. Fast forward to 2:45 in this video. You can see what I’m saying in Moore’s athleticism. Simmons and covertly move better but Moore is probably stronger against the bull rush than either of them now, especially conerly. We aren’t desperate but if the price is right, grab your LTOTF and let them compete.

In related news, the Chiefs should never draft a WR again in the second round because of the Skyy Less miss?

Good thing they didn’t follow that Reeruned idea… otherwise no Rashee Rice.

Jerrick McKinnon is the example here....the guy that we got off the scrap heap.

Go find one of those.

They shouldn't draft a RB in the first round because its a dumb idea and terrible value.

Go get another McKinnon? The guy who was an injury prone RB that could break at any moment from the 49ers? I mean we literally just did that again with Elijah Mitchell and nobody is confident that kid will make it through midseason before hitting IR again.

The league thought for 5 mins that good RB’s didn't matter anymore only to have Saquon, Jacobs and Henry obliterate that argument last year.

You’d dogmatically cling to that mantra even if a RB of Barkley’s caliber was available for the Chiefs to draft in the first round?

That’s not the case this year… but to rule out the possibility of ever drafting a RB in the first round again because of the MEHHH miss is dumb.

I agree and feel much better we have J Moore now. In the same breath I'm very worried about what we have to resort to should he get injured/miss time. Wanye saw increased reps last year but lower production/efficiency, and we are transitioning Kingsley to guard. I may be in the minority here, but I am probably higher than most on wanting another option in the rotation that has potential to at least fill in should J Moore go down.

I agree but this is a deep rb draft. You like Jamaal Charles, Texas might have another guy like that in blue and he’s probably available in the 3rd, maybe 4th?. He’s a burner. If Judkins is available in the third, I’d take him unless you’re in love with another player. He probably doesn’t last that long but he runs hard like Kareem did and is very physical, chain mover. Skatteboo is interesting to me later in the draft. He’s not fast but he’s quick, catches the ball and breaks tackles. Skatteboo would be an interesting toy for Andy. Skatteboo is built think at 5’9” & 220 lbs. I like Jarquez Hunter from auburn in the 5th or 6th or even RJ Harvey in the 7th. The fastest rb was tuten at a 4.32 and he was very productive. Lots of options for talented RBs in this draft. If Hampton did fall to 31, I wouldn’t hesitate to take that guy though if all of our options at DT, WR are gone. Positional value of RBs makes it unlikely for me to want to take a rb in the first with the holes we have needed depth. I don’t see Hampton falling that far. I just don’t think we need to be desperate for a RB. And none of the backs you mentioned were drafted in the first round so we can find talent later.

The offense was at its best when Andy had a talented back. It was that way in Philly with Westbrook and McCoy, it was that way with Jamaal, it was that way with Kareem.

“Get Mahomes back to 2022” okay when McKinnon was 2nd on the team with 9 receiving TD’s? Guy had 13 receiving TD’s and 15 overall in a season and a half.

Helping the QB also means getting him a RB that is more explosive than Derrick Nnadi

I don't mind having another option at all.

I'm just not down with trading up for "another option".

I hear ya. Tough spot we're in wanting to raise the floor of tackle play with also having so many other positional needs.

The 3 Rb's that were in FA last year.....sure.

They'd set the league on fire so much they were allowed to hit FA.

If McKinnon was all that you say here, yet he's the difference in Mahomes being a good QB and a MVP candidate then maybe we have bigger issues?

He was also available last year in FA, they didn't seem to have much interest.

So O.City is doing the “Mahomes isn’t worth the money” thing again when you bring up the fact that the offense had only Worthy and nothing else but a bunch of old, slow weapons who are as good as creating separation as Mike Pennel?

But we wonder why Mahomes isn’t same as when he had good explosive weapons years ago

RB is an interesting position...a good one touches the ball more than any skill offensive player other than QB. You would think it have more value attributed to it...kind of like a kicker also....ask Bills fans. They can tank your entire year.

If the Raiders take Jeanty and Donks take Hampton...do you feel they have improved? If so...by how much? What would be your gut reaction to those two being picked and in the division...would it be "sh-t"? More concerning than a WR?

What impact did landing Hunt have last year?
