Seeing as Bearcat banned me from the KU basketball thread for daring to use statistics to dispel the constant trashing of the team’s best player this year by far, I’ll need somewhere to put my thoughts for this year’s tournament.

In sum, the committee screwed KU again. Their resume (and wins) should have had them at at least a 6 seed and maybe even a 5. Arkansas is also the toughest matchup they could have had among possible opponents and KU matches up horribly against them (stay tuned as to why).

As far as the rest of the tournament goes, I’m picking Houston to win it all and Kentucky (fraud) to lose in the first or second round.

Takes 2 sophomores and a junior with him.
Takes 3 top 30 recruits with him.
Gets Johnell Davis and Jonas Aidoo in the portal.

Can't make a regional final after leading by 16 in the 2nd half.

Crazy win for Tech. I doubt we will be able to pull off the upset against Florida, but it's been a damn good season to end up in the Top 8 for the country. If we want to give Florida a serious run for their money, we gotta shoot the 3-ball a lot better than we did in these first few games of March Madness.

Yep. Tech MUST shoot the 3 better and stop Fl from doing so. I can tell you as a UH fan / alum, the one team I did not want to face in the Dance was Tech. Very good / tough team, with one hell of a coach. BUT, on 2nd thought, that would be a good thing b/c that would only happen if both were to make it to the Championship game... Best of luck taking Fl out, and the rest of the way. Having said that. GO COOGS!

yep. Not having McMillan has really hurt Tech from 3 point land, but man they are scrappy. Arky pizzed off Williams and he made them pay down the stretch

Yeah, I'm hoping Tech & Houston can keep winning. We need to put a little dent in the SEC hype machine. Best way to do it is to keep winning. But it's a tough road. SEC has some really good teams in this deal. I'm hoping Tom Izzo & Michigan State can take out Chris Beard & Ole Miss tonight, lol

I defended him up until Oakland.

Couldn’t defend him after that.

And no, his roster was flawed this season in that he had only 9 scholarship players.

I don't like Calipari but he took a team that was on the bubble and damn near got them to the elite 8. Up until the last 5 or 6 minutes of that Texas Tech game, they looked like a team that could put up a fight against Florida and just maybe even win it all.
