Seeing as Bearcat banned me from the KU basketball thread for daring to use statistics to dispel the constant trashing of the team’s best player this year by far, I’ll need somewhere to put my thoughts for this year’s tournament.

In sum, the committee screwed KU again. Their resume (and wins) should have had them at at least a 6 seed and maybe even a 5. Arkansas is also the toughest matchup they could have had among possible opponents and KU matches up horribly against them (stay tuned as to why).

As far as the rest of the tournament goes, I’m picking Houston to win it all and Kentucky (fraud) to lose in the first or second round.

Don’t forget the elite shooting guards and stretch big (Wolf) around Goldin too. Turns out assembling offensive players around a scoring big can be pretty effective.

Beth Goetz had better have McCollum on the phone by now.

Kind of a wild card idea, but if she strikes out with McCollum, I wouldn't mind taking a swing with BJ Armstrong. Or maybe as a "GM". Sports agent (knows the money side), would excite a lot of Hawkeye fans, etc. But no coaching experience.

there was a tweet a few days ago---flight away of a plane from West Virginia to Wichita.

Wren Baker is the AD WV. He was the AD at Northwest.
