I do wonder if the Chiefs had a similar deal on the table for him that they gave to Moore, and Robinson held out for more and screwed himself. If they actually did prefer Moore, that speaks volumes considering Robinson played for Andy's buddy and knows the system and has tons more experience. Pretty clear they did not like what they saw/heard of him to take the lottery ticket on Moore instead.

Didn’t we see that play out already with Hopkins, Kareem, Kelce etc not being able to be explosive on offense?

I think this draft is going to be a revamp and cost protection for a lot of the team.

Turk is gone, Chris will inevitably slow down in the next couple years and Omenihu is not worth the money he wants bc he misses games all the time.

They’re gonna find that replacement for Turk and Omenihu. There’s literally dozens of excellent options for us there. Tons of young guys with higher ceilings to replace them.

This may be the best RB class ever. They’re probably gonna take one to cover their bases.

There’s a lot of speed at WR that will be pushed down the board. I think they’re gonna take a bigger one like Royals to replace Juju moving forward or a smaller speed guy like Isiah Bond to replace an often injured Hollywood Brown for the future and provide depth this year so if he does get hurt again we aren’t left looking for old, washed players again.

Youth is important. That’s why draft picks are important. They’re selling off Sneed and Thuney for a reason.

Uh yea there's this thing called depth and having 1 DT on your roster going into the draft ain't a great idea.

Chris Jones is already on the downslope of his career and this idea that he can carry the DL is gonna cause some major issues if they keep thinking they can do that.

Tillery is a guy that can play 3 tech or outside. So right now they have Karlaftis, Danna, Felix, Chris and Tillery with the option of bringing back Omenihu if he sets aside his pride.

Have you been to the draft forum? This DL class is incredible. 41 DT’s were invited to the combine compared to 25 last year. That’s how good this class is.

The general consensus is that the Chiefs are going to draft 2 DLwitj their first 4 picks to build their DL of the future.

This is a great year to look for guys in the post Chris Jones era

Nick Scourton and Omarr Norman-Lott in rounds 1 and 2 would fundamentally alter the long-term outlook of this defensive line.

And there are about a 1/2 dozen guys you could see slide into either of those spots who could be similarly impactful, those are just my favorite of the reasonably possible to fall to us guys at the moment.

Yup. Omenihu is very good but he’s also proven to never be consistently available or worth what he’s asking for.

And why would we cave to his demands?! I have to think Spags, Veach and Cullen are like kids in a candy shop watching this amazing DL class.

Nic Scourton
Landon Jackson
Jordan Burch
JT Tuimoloau
Elijah Roberts
Jared Ivey
Kyle Kennard

Even guys on day 3 like Jack Sawyer or BJ Green for example. I don’t think Mecca has looked at this.

This is such a great year to fix the DL. I am starting to believe they’ll draft 3 of them in this draft based on pure principle

Yea but Jerry Tillery isn't very good..

Sure the DL class is great but the last thing you wanna do is pigeon hole yourself into having to take a position.

Doesn't matter much in this draft. The DL group is that deep. The odds of there not being a DL whose grade is at least on par with any other position in the draft when you're up in day 1 or 2 is pretty much zero, IMO.

Pigeonhole away - so long as it's DL you're pigeonholing into.

You’re missing the point Mecca. This draft class having so many good DT’s and DE’s allows flexibility to not reach for one. There’s so much talent that’s gonna fall.

They also have that extra pick at the top of the 3rd rd. They don’t have to reach bc they have assets and the value at 63 and 66 is gonna be really good
