*****Official 2025 Royals Season Repository Thread*****

Coming off an American League Divisional Series appearance, its year 3 of Matt Quatraro tenure. Can they take the next step to a division title? Can Bobby Witt, Jr. take his superstar status to another level? Can Cole Ragans develop more? Will the other starting pitching duplicate last season? The offense can it deliver more? Who will be in the outfield? How about the new stadium development?

Chances Jonathan India has a career season with Bobby Witt Jr protecting him?

He kinda sucks but I see no reason we can't expect .840 ops

Royals had a combined .269 OBP from leadoff hitters last year.

India, who 'sucks', has a career OBP of .352.

In his two seasons where he stayed healthy and played 150+ games, his OBP was .366

He will help tremendously, no matter how you look at it.

We don't need him to have a career season, just replicate his ROY performance from 2021 and this offense will be rolling all year long. Assuming Vinnie can rebound and not just be a cardboard cutout with a stick, like he was when he returned from injury last year. His spring training AB's have not looked good, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now as he has proved he can hit at a high level in the past.

But I'm way more concerned about Vinnie's performance going forward than I am India's.

Yes he should. He mainly seems to suck at defense it like based on WAR stats.

If India stays healthy, he's going to score 120+ runs.

The Royals leadoff spot produced 97 runs in about 750 PA last year, with a .270 OBP.

With a .360 OBP, that's going to add a LOT of runs.

If they build the new stadium down at Crown Center, that should be a short right field....

I'm wracking my brain... Has KC ever really developed a true power hitter outside of maybe Bo Jackson before? Could Jac be the first to really make the leap and be a consistent threat out of the gate and for years to come?

Imagine if by some miracle, Jac turns into our version of an Aaron Judge type. Now imagine Jac and BWJ in the same lineup for several of their prime years together.

Boner.
