Cool.

There wasn't a running back available in the draft that would've won a Super Bowl for us last season.

Just ****ing aces point you've made there, Skip Bayless.

Heh.

I'm a supreme pessimist when it comes to the RB position. It seems like whenever we've needed to lean on one, they get hurt. So maybe the answer is what we've been doing, a room full of low resource guys (I'm behaving as if CEH hasn't been here in recent history....because.....yeah). But rather than slow power back types, we need to get blazing fast mother****ers. Or at least a couple.

As long as they don't fumble, whatever.

His vision problems have really hampered him in the red zone too. 13 TDs total in 3 seasons rushing the ball. Hunt has 7 this year and he's washed as ****. Excellent use of a 7th rounder and a good enough RB to plug into your room. Maybe not THE guy though.

Well apparently you missed Sassy bitching like there was. He said it was on the Chiefs that's they didn't have that RB to save them in the SB.

So why exactly are you made at me about this?

Andy just had really gone away from passing to the backs, running screens with them, etc. Where’s the offense that ran that sweet wheel route to Kareem during his first stint with KC? Where are all the plays we used to run with McKinnon?
We don’t have that talent on the roster. Perine is decent on designed plays and screens and can sometimes break tackles. He doesn’t create like McKinnon or Williams did. He’s also not gonna make guys miss in the open field very often.

Andy put Mecole and Worthy in the flat a lot the last 2 years. Especially this year. Tells you everything you need to know.

Perine is old and wasn’t ever that fast. They need youth. They need speed. They need a guy who can make guys miss in the open field again.

Look at what McKinnon gave us in 2022. They need that again. Badly.

What? I said the RB room going into the season kind of sucked. Go ahead and quote where I said a different RB would've made the difference in the Super Bowl.

Like I said, I wanted Jaylen Wright too, but I'm not going to pretend that he would've changed things much either. That was a long term move for the room. He wasn't even ****ing good as a rookie, and they probably wouldn't have played him much.

How many explosive runs did Jaylen Wright have in a very good Dolphins running game?
This is the conversation YOU continued.

And now, as is your custom, you're having a little temper tantrum. Because you are sitting here trying to stake a clearly untenable position w/r/t Pacheco as some sort of dynamic RB that he very clearly isn't.

But again -- you're welcome to pat yourself on the back for noting that there wasn't a RB that was going to stop the Eagles pass rush in its tracks. Really got me by the short-hairs there.

Because it seemed like you misunderstood my argument. I was just attempting to clarify not necessarily engage with your new argument.

Like I said, I wanted to upgrade the room with a guy like Wright as well. I didn't disagree with adding talent and particularly speed to the room. My point was that it wasn't going to change anything for 2024 either way, so the Chiefs lack of moves at RB in the offseason weren't to blame.

This is the post I responded to. Which, yes, the ground game was ass because the talent collectively in the RB room kind of sucked. Pacheco is a damn fine piece to have especially on a rookie 7th round contract but he didn't need to be the lead back with literal roster chaff behind him, regardless of the injury. He's just too flawed.

No, I said you said that it was on the Chiefs. You blamed them as if there was a RB they could've added that would've changed the outcome. I asked what RB they could've added that would've changed everything, and instead of clarifying that there wasn't one, you tried to provide an answer as if you thought there was.

I still can’t believe that Andy did not run a single running play until our 12 offensive snap. IDGAF if the guys aren’t great. They banked on you not running and you oblidged.

You have to at least try, especially when the OL and QB are getting rocked.

Man. They have to invest in a RB. This same shit happened against the Broncos. Andy putting everything on Mahomes shoulders is not a successful plan at all.

There isn't any maybe about Pop, he's not the guy. Good player, but just doesn't have the vision or change of direction ability to be great. Probably never going to find another Jamaal Charles replica, but I'd take a circa 2018 Kareem Hunt before he kicked a b*tch.
