GF is sitting on the couch right now napping.

She's liberal and even she won't watch MCU trash.

Nah.

That's trolling Communist Reddit and trying to pass their bullshit off as your own. And being shameless about it.

Sam is a regular soldier in a high tech wingsuit. A good guy version of Vulture, and you have him throwing down with Red Hulk?

Nah.
Sam was a DEI hire?

Falcon has spent time as Captain America in the comics. Based on how the Infinity Saga played out, we all knew it was going to be either Sam or Bucky.

The movie is doing solid numbers so far, by the way. I’m reading about $100m domestically and just under $200m globally. Seems there’s still a decent market for MCU superhero flicks and/or black Cap and Hulk adjacent storylines.

Seems like the early reviews are right down the middle - either people love it, or they hate it.

Haven't seen it but from what I can tell, it's a good Falcon movie that they tried to make into a Captain America movie and were, predictably, heavy-handed in their messaging.

If this were the 5th Marvel movie, I don't think there'd be many complaints. But it's like the 25th, there's some Marvel fatigue and the consensus appears to be that they shoehorned a character in as Captain America that just doesn't work as well as Cap as he does as his stand-alone character.

I like Anthony Mackie and am happy to see him get a major vehicle -- I just wish they wouldn't have tried to force the round peg into square hole.

I suspect I'll see it similar to how I saw Solo -- in a vacuum, a solid movie. But as a part of a whole, it struggled a bit.

I mean, it’s a continuation of the Disney+ TV show from a few years ago.

It kinda sounds like they are covering some of the same themes the TV show already covered.

Yeah, if this movie equals Solo, I'll be a fan. Solo should be awarded a sympathy prize for absolute worst timing of a release of a movie of all time.

THIS. I liked the last Deadpool and loved the Pattinson Batman movie. It was so refreshing to see a superhero movie that didn't feature villains with godlike superpowers and/or space aliens laying waste to the entire world/galaxy.

Im interested to see an MCU Spider Man where he's FINALLY on his own with his classic red n blues.

MCU Spider Man has been pretty dreadful with the exception of No Way Home, and that movie is good because it has the other iterations of Spider Man that were done better, not turned into Iron Man Jr.

Aside from that, after Endgame wrapped up the MCU just feels like a comedy set where the artist is near the end of his set, and drops his absolute best joke that brings the house down, but instead of dropping the mic and leaving, he just tells shittier and shittier jokes until what was once a raucous crowd has now gone into awkward silence.

I’m far more interested in the 3rd Into the spiderverse animated
Film. Those films are grade A outstanding

Meh. It wasn't great.
Bad cgi. Really noticeable on the helmets. Only decent use was hulk.

Falcon just isn't cap. Hell at the start he is.knocking people around like a super soldier.

Give him the serum.
