PS5 for multi-player, and Series X for game-pass, single player games, backward compatible games, and basicly all streaming/entertainment apps.

It's on Steam, too.

But you should just play jedi fallen order and jedi survivor.

I played a little of the first of those when it was on game pass, just couldn't get into it. Not sure if it gets good with expanded gameplay and story takes off later, but I ended up switching it off and just never came back to it.

I killed the oggdo bogdo frog that there was so much uproar about. As an avid Dark Souls/Elden Ring player I was able to beat the boss, although I found it to be quite tedious to do so. Maybe it was something I was supposed to come back to later with a more expanded toolbox, similar to Margit from Elden Ring.

It was still very early game when I became disinterested, I may have simply not stuck with it long enough.

You should definitely revisit it. It's perhaps the most epic SW game I've ever played. And I've played all of the good ones.

It's like the original Jedi Knight on steroids.

Gave it another look, and while it did turn out better than my original impression, (whoever put Oggdo Boggdo on the first planet when you have essentially no skills and die in 2 hits was an incredible douche.) there are some definite personal biases I have with how the game is structured in general that I just have to grit my teeth through.

First off, why the MOTHER **** can I not just fast travel back to my ship after I complete my mission, or complete my random exploring? Holy shit the map is one of the most God awful I've ever seen, I can't place a marker or waypoint, so if I don't just remember the way back, I end up in BFE looking for either the way back to the ship, or on return trips, figuring out which way leads to the new objective. I could give a God damn blindfolded guided tour of Zeffo by this ****ing point.

It just feels like padding. You know, I haven't seen a backtrack this annoying since the Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion dungeons. Even Bethesda learned that the runback sucked, and had an exit at the end of the run to let you out when they followed Oblivion up with Skyrim.

Second, all the ridiculous swinging, jumping, and climbing, and puzzles just to move on with the story. It's like Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia were mutated together, with a shot of Uncharted for flavor. Again, it just feels like filler. Like, no, we cannot just let you into the next area. You need to climb this, swing on this, force slow this at just the right moment and force slow the next moving platform before the first one speeds up and throws you off.

The only mercy here Is that falls into the abyss don't kill you, only reduce health a little. God damn, could you imagine?

LOVE the Dark Souls inspired elements. The meditation sites to unlock skills, refill stims and respawn all enemies.
This is probably the most fun I've had killing Storm Troopers since Force Unleashed, and while theres only been a couple, the lightsaber boss battles that ive played are amazing.

It has the hook set, but right now it's offset like 50/50 whether I turn it back on just because of the filler (In my opinion) traversal, runbacks, and horrid map.

If this thing had like a survival mode, or a boss rush mode, shit I might never turn it off.

I know there are folks that love that Tomb Raider/Uncharted style of traversal and puzzles to advance, but that's not what I think of when I think about playing a Star Wars game. The action is the highest of highs, but the spaces between really drag it down for me.

I'll likely at least finish the story, it may just take a little longer depending on mood and motivation. Probably watch a review on the sequel, if it's more of the same shitty map and marathon runbacks between action segments I'll probably pass on it.

They added fast travel in the second game. And you're just gonna have to deal with all the fancy pants jumping around. But once you learn basically how to ****ing FLY on Jedha, you're gonna start having fun with it. In fact the boss setpiece on Jedha is one of the most epic things I've ever seen in a video game.

And there's nothing like mowing down goof-talking battledroids.

One thing they got right in this game is you can go back and forth between planets now at your leisure.

The Droid chatter will be hard pressed to beat the Stormtrooper chatter.

Mtn Dew shot from my nose after I killed a bunch of them and the last guy with the repeating blaster was like ohhkay I'm dead.

Survivor is still on gamepass so I might as well give it a shot while it's "free". No runbacks after missions is quite appealing.

Just finished up the boss battle with Maricos which was yet another exceptionally well done Saber duel. Not sure how much of the game remains.

The Boss Battles are flatly 10/10. It makes me wish the game had hard save option so i could just jump back into these in a pick up and play format, but alas. Life as a console wastrel can be unfulfilling.
