Eh. We’ll see. Patrick never played like such dogshit that he lost to Mark Sanchez in the playoffs.

I’m not saying Mahomes should settle for “second best”, because he should use Brady as his motivation. He should keep chasing that.

As fans though, we shouldn’t judge his legacy against Brady’s Super Bowls. That’s just a ridiculously high bar.

I sincerely doubt the general consensus will ever be that Mahomes’s accomplishments beat Brady’s. Matching Brady’s longevity in order to win so many is what I see as particularly unlikely.

We can still celebrate and enjoy Mahomes when he more than likely won’t pass or match Brady in rings.

You're going to be able to make whatever argument you want for any of these guys. Brady's teams got blown out by Flacco twice including a game where he completed 4 passes. Lost against Jake Plummer, Mark Sanchez, Tannehill, etc.

Mahomes has never lost a non-Super Bowl playoff game in regulation in 7 years. Can't imagine anyone else in the history of the game has come close to that. But it's true the title games carry more weight in people's minds.

If we're talking LEGACY then this crushed Pat.

He got destroyed. He gets a pass for the Tampa loss. Not this one.

He absolutely played as bad as anyone could play in this game. Ever.

Yes he has to take the blame for it because he gets the most creds for the wins.

As of now you have to move him down under Montana and Brady. That game absolutely killed his legacy FOR NOW.

Now...he'd have to go on and do a 3 peat or win like 8. He would have to do something to surpass those guys.

The coaching and line was ASTROCIOUS tonight no doubt but Pat was AWFUL

Like AWFUL.

Does he? I see a lot of people out there pretending Mahomes is only carried by Andy/Tyreek/Kelce, Spags/Chris Jones, and the REFS. They never give Mahomes an ounce of credit when the team wins.

Brady was 3-2 in Super Bowls and about to be 3-3 before Pete Carroll went stupid.

He should have been 3-4 if the Falcons just kept running the ball.

Brady did nothing in the SB win against Jared Goff.

Mahomes needs tons of luck to win 7 SBs.

lol i love how getting blown out in the SB magically became some legacy destroying thing today. everyone declaring the goat conversation is over, and suddenly forgetting that brady was also 3-2 in super bowls and didn't get his 4th until 37.

of course these are the same people who seem to think taylor swift has harmed them personally in some way.

i'm rooting for the meteor.

That's jackasses online. Not people like us or people who actually know football.

This loss really tarnished Pat's Legacy. It did. People need to be real about that.

Montana.....NEVER LOST ONE.

Brady has NEVER BEEN BLOWN OUT IN ONE.

Pat has been blown out in two. TWO.

He's never going to be the GOAT.

You're admitting that some people still think Montana is the GOAT? Otherwise, why mention him with Brady? Even if Mahomes won 7 Super Bowls, some people would say he lost twice to Brady.

There's no consensus GOAT in any sport.

Terry Bradshaw was 4-0 in the Super Bowl… your logic is ranking him ahead of Mahomes?

I remember the Ravens just annihilating those Brady Patriots teams, but apparently nobody else does these days.

The Mahomes/LeBron parallels for me are growing even closer. Patrick is getting shit now (from even his own fanbase, see Guardian’s ridiculous posts) for making and losing SBs now just like LeBron and his crazy amount of Finals appearances.

You’re still describing Mahomes as the third greatest of all time. That’s insanely good. It also assumes that Mahomes just stays here for the rest of his career.

I think he wins 5 rings, which puts him second only to Brady. I’ve been stuck on that number for awhile.

Tonight was a missed opportunity, regardless of who we blame for that.

No. Team wise I'd rank those Steeler teams ahead of us because they went 4-0 in like a 6 year period.

But that is a different era of football too.

My point is, this loss was really damning to Pat's legacy.

Why can't people admit that?

If Pat goes on to win 7-8 then people can bring up the GOAT talk again, but this REALLY did a number on that
