I appreciate what Alex brought to the organization. That was a lot of Andy Reid, though. Alex definitely had his limitations. Funny that this thread was created. Just this morning, I was just trying to come up with Smith's playoff record with the Chiefs. By my count, Smith was 1-4 in the playoffs with the Chiefs.
Now, compare that to Mahomes playoff record? Mmmm hmmmm. Thank God we finally decided to move past those retreads and actually went out and grabbed a franchise QB in the draft. And as it turned out, we grabbed the best of all time.

Alex was frustrating because when he played like he wanted to kick the other teams ass he played like he could kick the other teams ass.
He was conservative to a fault for sure but a great human being and a solid QB none the less. No hate. Hell, look how it all turned out! |
