It's the same crap some of them do when they claim on the one hand that Denver never cheated and it's ok because they got away with it, then on the other hand they whine about how unfair it is that the Chiefs get all the calls.

Guys, if you just remove the two decades of excellence and domination that bookend Chiefs franchise history, Denver would have the advantage.

I just don’t understand debating the full history… it is what it is. I became a fan of Denver in 1984, Elway’s second season when I was 13 and Broncos games were primarily the late game. I don’t have the desire nor the energy to debate anything prior.

But good luck to those that do.

Yeah, all-time records just are what they are. There's not much sense in trying to argue about them by somehow altering them. It's just dishonest. That idiot just couldn't admit that he was dishonest in his approach.

I have no problem acknowledging the Texans/Chiefs dominance of the Broncos in the AFL. Plus they won I think three Championships, and played in two of the first four Super Bowls. AND I have no problem acknowledging your current 7-year dominance of the League. Win next Sunday, and they'll set a new standard for dynasties. Never said otherwise. But something tells me you guys WILL have a problem acknowledging these facts:

BRONCOS - CHIEFS RIVALRY
1960-1973 - TEXANS/CHIEFS dominate
1974-2016 - BRONCOS dominate
2016-2024 - CHIEFS dominate

(That list ^^^ is opinion, not fact...)
Okay, time for facts:

Broncos first ever winning season was 1973... they racked up 7 winning seasons the next 9 years.

The Broncos eight SBs were spread across four distinct timeframes: Mid-late 70s, Mid-late 80s, Mid-late 90s, Early-mid Teens. And the two AFCCG losses were in eras we did NOT go to a SB: Early 90s, Mid 00s.

HEAD-2-HEAD Record

The Head-to-Head record over these 42 seasons won by the Broncos 51-33 - including the 1997 playoff game - and just one game in the strike-shortened 1982 season.

BRONCOS led the better record race: 32-8-2

Denver had the better record in 32 of the 42 seasons, Chiefs in 8, and two ties: 1980 + 2006.

Four of KC's eight years – half their years were in a row: 1992-95. I considered cutting out those 4 and giving them to Kansas City as a dominant era. But four years is too short, and both one year before and one year after this four-year streak were Broncos Super Bowl appearances, so I didn’t cut them out. Gives you guys on the Planet something to holler insults at me about.
