Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

The tension/dysfunction between Mahomes and the staff caused a rocky 2nd half.

It's a bit rich you asking that question when you and the "Chiefs Kingdom Editorial Board" penned this:

That would make the most logical sense, but I just can't remember him taking any big shots. I hope we get an explanation in his autobiography someday.

He took a knee to the head on his first interception.

My theory: Everyone knew that the Rams were winning in their own stadium that season and after SB LV the Chiefs didn't want to do that again.

Makes sense. He was probably fuzzy for a bit. Explains why he couldn't see the field well and just ran.

Cleared up just enough to get the team down the field for a FG and make the throw in OT.

Still froze up and missed a wide open Kelce for the gamewinner from our 5. I just don’t think he was seeing his receivers well at all.

Oh really? I don't remember that and I haven't had the fortitude to re-watch that game yet.
I'll take a look. Do you know about when it was in the game?
Thanks!

That's how fast he's just run through everybody. This start is ****ing ridiculous.

I guess the flipside is that by 35 years old, most QBs prior to this era were beaten to death and pretty much washed up. So most of those guys couldn't do the compiling that so many other guys in the modern era have done.

But still, what an absurd 7 seasons.
If Brady didn’t exist then the 2018 and 2020 seasons would have been more interesting for sure. Of Mahomes three playoff losses, two were to Brady led teams.

Found the hit I was thinking of, the knee to the head I remembered was against the Titans that same year.

In this one, he got sandwiched between two Bengals on the first play of the fourth quarter. I always thought he was slow to get up here and kept his hand on his helmet a while. He then played some of the most inexplicably bad football I had ever seen from him for the remainder of the quarter.

Bill Simmons speaks about him having a concussion like it’s a fact whenever he talks about the game. It’s possible that’s apocryphal, and Anarumo shut him down.
