Refs

In line with other random threads already opened in this glorious night, let me take the time to applaud the referees for calling an outstanding game. They let both teams play and in the end, Los Jefes came out victorious. Clit has called some reasonable games the last few times the Chiefs played and I think his crew was spot on for the majority of the calls, tonight.

The ball was completely hidden during the play. Impossible to overrule the call on the field.

For all we know, Allen could have momentarily lost possession of the ball and only regained possession when he had been driven backwards.

If they want to put some sort of chip in the ball and a tracking device on the sideline, I'm all for it. Just like I'm all for using the box to call balls and strikes in baseball.

But it hasn't happened yet, so we've got what we've got - a couple of guys trying to pick a ball out of the middle of a mass of giant bodies in a split second of real time. Maybe the ball crossed the line, maybe it didn't. But it doesn't matter now.

The hilarious thing is we now have video evidence that Buffalo got away with a false start before the snap. It should have been 4th and 6 instead of 4th and 1. But the refs screwed Buffalo by letting them get away with several false starts including that one, lol

Apparently, some dipshit crybaby has decided to start a petition on change.org smh.

https://www.change.org/p/boycott-nfl...re-implemented

The Issue
For many of us, the National Football League (NFL) has been a source of positivity and joy over the years. However, a growing concern over the inconsistent refereeing, particularly evident while observing games involving the Kansas City Chiefs, is tarnishing this beautiful sport's spirit. The aggravation has reached a point where many of us are contemplating boycotting not just the Super Bowl, but all future games until there is significant change. It's devastating to see the joy being quenched by egregiously biased refereeing.

Analysis and the eye test suggests that there have been numerous questionable calls during both the regular and playoff NFL games that have swayed the results unpredictably. This severely impacts the integrity of the game, as well as viewers' trust. It's evident that the current controls and measures are inadequate in ensuring impartiality and holding referees accountable for their actions.

Frankly, it is unknown the true root of this disparity and inconsistency. It could simply be human error. Or it could be as severe as referees taking money to affect the outcome of games. Regardless, change is needed.

This petition calls for all NFL viewers upset by the current state of refereeing in the league to commit to boycotting the Super Bowl and future games until measures ensuring accountability and fairness in refereeing are introduced. Together, by pledging to this boycott, we can peacefully express our dissatisfaction and urge the NFL to take our concerns seriously.

It's time we took a stand against unjust refereeing and called on the NFL to introduce rigorous referee training and accountability mechanisms that will guarantee fair game-play for all teams. By signing this petition, you are agreeing to join the boycott and work towards restoring the joy and integrity of NFL games that we so dearly love. Let your voice be heard; be part of the change. Sign this petition today

The best part about the petition is that alleges the NFL is rigging games for the Chiefs.

It then goes on to say that it has "swayed the results unpredictably."

If it's rigged for the Chiefs and they always win, isn't that the OPPOSITE of unpredictable?

Just a few years ago, they were accusing the refs of helping the Patriots...

America hates a winner. We love underdogs. That's why they all loved us in 2020 when we won SB LIV. Now, they've had enough of us. The sheer dominance is deflating for fans of other teams.

We've been there. I can't count the number of egregiously bad bullshit calls that went against the Chiefs before our Superbowl run. Everyone on here knows, no need to re-litigate.

The Patriots were coddled by the refs for 20 years as far as most of us were concerned. Now, WE are that team. And we can see clearly that it is as simple as this...people watching the Chiefs win (and the knowledge that we are inevitable) is deflating and makes them hate us all the more.

Enjoy this ride, it'll be over some day. If we win this SB, we will be known as the greatest dynasty and franchise, led by the greatest QB and greatest HC in the history of the NFL. And in the end, they ALL know it's not because of the refs.

This board was (and still is to a degree) just like the general public when it comes officiating.

We have the "rigged" idiots.

We have the "steered" idiots. <-- when it's obviously not rigged but need to use a different verb because it's not "rigged".

We have the "market size/new stadium" dimwits. --> Buffalo is getting a new stadium, therefore they'll need to "rig" it so Buffalo makes a SB and to sell tickets. (Even though Buffalo has high attendance rates).

We have the "point spread/vegas controls it" lobotomized morons.

Should have Titus add these to the CP lexicon lists.

These people are getting stupid. I just saw an article stating that the Chiefs have a huge advantage because they're the away team and get to call the coin toss. They supposedly have been winning the toss a lot lately. Really??? A coin toss gives them an advantage??? Come on!
