Caliendo dealing with the 3-tech is the biggest worry. At some point both Carter and Williams will absolutely hand him his ass. We need Trey and Taylor to absolutely lock down their side so that Creed can focus some attention on helping out Caliendo.

I think if we can hold Barkley to under 100 rushing, we win.

Hold him under 150 and I think we win.
If he only breaks ONE long score, I think we'll be okay. I just typically have so little worry about losing to RBs in big games because these coaches, even the really good ones (and Sirianni ain't that) just cannot help themselves. They're gonna **** up a couple of drives even with a dominant running game by trying to force the pass. If you have Mahomes -- cool, do that. But if you have Barkley and Hurts, you should probably get Barkley 30 touches in the game. I really don't think Sirianni and Moore have the patience and stability for that.

Only worry I have with the OL is Caliendo getting trucked consistently. Seeing him get picked up and then carried at high velocity right back into Mahomes was disconcerting to say the least. For that reason alone, I'd rather see DJ at LT and Thuney back at LG, IF Andy feels that DJ is actually ready to play.

Yeah, that seems reasonable. I don't think we can hold Barkley under 100 yds. I feel like it's a given that Barkley will break off at least one long run. That I think we can live with. But if he has multiple long runs and goes over 150, I think we'll probably be in trouble.

ESPECIALLY not after the game Thuney had at LT. He played really well. Would I rather have that at LG against these 3-techniques? Yeah, probably. But that's a hell of an ask in a Super Bowl. Because we just never have seen Humphries have a good entire game here. This isn't a situation like Graham returning where you have a decent idea what he does and where he fits. Humphries, health not even withstanding, is just such a questionmark here. No, that ship has sailed.

Yeah, I don't see it as likely either. Just not excited about seeing JC turning Caliendo into his bitch every passing snap. Which is a real possibility.

That offense was Juju, Watson, MVS, Pacheco, Toney, Kelce and Skyy. This offense is Worthy, Brown, Hopkins, Juju, Kelce, Gray, Hunt, Watson and Pacheco. On defense the D-line was Clark, Saunders, Jones and Karloftis This D-line is Omenihu, Jones, Wharton and Karloftis The players missing are Sneed and Gay. But this defense and team have way more experience now. The result will be what it will be but I can't agree that on paper the 22 team was better. |

You can be shorter, slower and less agile and still be a very good IOL through technique and strength. At OT, you just have to be a physical freak. You have to have the long arms or the incredible footwork - as WELL as the strength and the technique. OTs are more expensive because they simply require physical traits that are much harder to find. Because in the end they're the hardest guys on the field to provide help for and the hardest guys on the field to hide.

The funny thing about the “live by the turnover, die by the turnover” result is that at some point it runs out. Buffalo found that out as outside of a fumble on a bad handoff, KC played clean so Buffalo could not capitalize on it like they did against the Ravens.
