NOW: I called my statement about Mensa a dumb thing to say, even apologized!. But that wasn't enough for you. You raised it again. So: I will wager you $500 (five hundred dollars) that I am a member. You said it's "a fact" that I'm not, so this should be an easy decision for you.

Two conditions: 1) The money must be held by a third party before I offer proof, and 2) membership card does not have to be current, I haven't paid the dues in about three years.

Ready?
News Flash: None of your self-hype blather changes the fact that you continually come across as though you're nothing more than a self-administering proctologist with nothing other than your own head being the primary tool for the job.

Donkeys all-time SB record is 0 wins, 5 losses, and 3 given to them as going-away presents (two to Turd Elway and one to 5-head Manning).

Which is it Mensa boy?
Why wouldn’t pre merger games count? Especially since both franchises started at the same time and played each other twice a season (ignoring playoffs)?

There is no good argument. Mensa boy found a Youtube video that ignored them and that was all he needed.

Only if I put up $500 for him to show it. And a quick Google search of "expired US Mensa card" shows the one he was likely planning on using for "proof".

The Broncos didn’t have a winning record until 1973.

Ask a fan about what happened 1960-1973 and it’s a lot like asking a German about what happened from 1933-1945.

“The NFL didn’t exist! Check with Poland!”

LOL!! I guess we can add "I'm a MENSA member" to the list of keyboard brags. Except, I am not sure it's something to brag about. I've known 2 (one in my extended family) and they both carry these similar attributes:
-Social Repellency
-Not dynamic in personality or skills
-Not discerning or wise
-Under Achieving for the extra brains they are suppose to possess
-Neither believe that the world is ran by C students

Let me be a bit self deprecating here; if you are wasting time on CP with posts the length of War and Peace, then you are a dumb ass. I guess I could be also, but I have a lower post count and shorter posts

Hey stupid -- whatever happened in the '60's has nothing to do with the Donkeys cheating & violating the salary cap in 1996 -- 1998, nor have anything to do with Bowlen's lie about "deferring funds to build a new stadium".

If you recall, I wasn't counting AFL games in that particular statistical analysis. Might've said something like 'minor leagues,' but it was more a reference to Mr Hunt's admonition teams worry about survival first, competition second.

Our owners were the Phipps Brothers, we loved them, but they were hands down the poorest ownership group in the league. And they were saddled with paying for upgrades to Old Mile High Stadium to get it up to NFL standards (hey, look brdempsey, we were using Stadium costs as an excuse back then too!). Had the Phipps tried to spend $ in order to compete on field, things wouldda gone bad ... our locker room was a Quonset Hut, with just six working shower heads, our first uniforms were bought from a defunct college bowl game, the Copper Bowl - brown and yellow, vertical striped socks, you know em! And that bastard Ralph Wilson kept sending potential buyers to Lamar Hunt, hoping the Phipps would sell. I wished that bastard was still alive to have seen the game Last Sunday ....jk

Please don't use aggressive words like "ridiculous" unless you're sure you're correct.

It's an understandable mistake though: You must have counted the Steelers and Colts as AFL teams, which they weren't. You still had a pretty good point:

Super Bowl I thru VI = NFL/NFC 4-2

Super BowI VII - XII = AFL/NFL tie 3-3

Super Bowl XIII - IIXX = NFL/NFC 4-2

NFL/NFC leads 11-7, that's when ....
SBs IXX - XXXI = NFC 13-game win streak

THIRTEEN GAME WIN STREAK, oh no!
Would the AFC EVER win another Super Bowl?

Never Fear, the BRONCOS are here!

"But didn't the Broncos have a lot to do
with the AFC losing those 13 games?"

SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP

BRONCOS!

................Elway was only good to a point & was 2nd-tier, and no QB in SB history that played in multiple SB games STUNK UP THE FIELD worse than Elway did & Elway's all-time SB record is 0 wins, 3 losses, and 2 given to him as going-away presents because Elway wasn't good enough to win any SB in legit fashion on a level playing field......as the whole world saw when Elway played like a girl in his only 3 legit SB appearances.

You still have not addressed the issue. You are non-responsive. I will repeat the question.

Why do you contend that games played between the Chiefs and Broncos before the merger should not count while you also contend that the threepeat of the Packers before the merger is comparable to a threepeat in today's NFL if it should be accomplished? Explain your rationale or admit that you shift your philosophies to suit whatever argument you're trying to win.

Geez Lew-WEEZ!

Of course they COUNT!!!

But for a variety of reasons I've explained about 3500 times, including just an hour ago, I prefer to compare NFL games only

The AFL was an uneven non-competitive League for a WIDE variety of reasons. And we were the POOREST Team by a wide margin. Went 1-19 against the chefs.

If you were that disadvantaged for 10 years and went 1-19 against us, I'm sure it would suddenly make sense to you! You wouldn't want to count the games that you never had a chance to win either. Our quarterback years 2-4 was Frank Tripucka .... old Detroit Piston player Kelly Tripucka's Dad. He was an assistant coach, 37 or more years old. When our quarterback proved ineffective, he literally put on a uniform at halftime and took over. We couldn't afford much more than that .... he played 3 years until he was 41.

I hope you're beginning to get the picture.....

This is your defense? This is total crap. This is an admission that you have no argument whatsoever except that disregarding all of the games prior to the merger makes your team look better. WE ALL KNEW THAT. That was the entire basis of why we challenged you to begin with and you argued differently.

Here's a little unsolicited advice. If you want to be accepted here as a decent poster, like MileHighMania and a couple others, quit arguing when we both know you're just full of shit. Be a man. Admit you shifted your philosophies just because it suited your current argument. Don't be a ****ing coward. Admit you were wrong.

You can count all the AFL games if you like, that's fine.

Seems pretty odd to me that you don't understand how statistical analyzes choose certain parts of statistics certain years certain whatever - home versus road games, day versus night games.

I prefer to compare apples to apples, NFL games only. You can compare all the oranges you like.

That league was very different than the NFL ... but Mr. Hunt was right, survival is what mattered. The NFL owners were old fashioned, they looked down their nose at the AFL .

They stole the Vikings away less than a year before the AFL was scheduled to begin play. The same name, the same team, same owners same uniforms ... All of it was set to start with the AFL. But the NFL went in and signed them out from under ...
Lamar Hunt owned the Texans in his hometown of Dallas. The NFL real quick-like put a franchise in Dallas the same year. The Cowboys and Texans both started in 1960. Lamar Hunt hated to do it, but after three years he moved out of Dallas to accommodate the NFL.

And it worked ... The AFL became the first serious insurgent startup League to survive with all its original teams. In fact, the AFL expanded, so Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals. Although the Bengals were added after the merger had already been agreed to.

Lamar Hunt was a truly great man.

same uniforms. They were all set to start with the AFL in 1960,
