But I do think we'll pay for a veteran pass-rusher if we lose him. We're not gonna try to make it work with Jones, Karlaftis and FAU, IMO. Maybe they've loved what they've seen from Felix this year, but that would surprise me.

Yeah I’m with DJ. Trey is out. He’s gonna get $21 million APY. But that’s okay.
There’s a reason Kingsley played G vs Denver. There’s a reason he has been active over Wanya as the backup G. He’s good to be the RG next year. Watch the Denver game against Zach Allen. He was rock solid most of the game. If anything, they will keep Bolton IMO. He’s too valuable to them. Tranquill is starting to age out a bit and as much as we love Leo, he’s not on the field that often compared to Bolton. He’s played half the snaps Bolton has this year. It’s cost value as well. Bolton I imagine will want roughly $15 million APY. He’s about 30% cheaper than Trey at a more important position. That matters. A lot.

I look at the list of LBs making between 5 and 9 million and it has a ton of really solid-to-good players in that range. At the top of that list is Logan Wilson who is twice the overall LB as anyone we have on our roster. I can't fathom paying any of our group more than him.
Intangibles only go so far in a league full of grown men doing this for a paycheck. I'd be just as happy signing guys like Dre Greenlaw, Tyler Dodson, Christian Rozeboom, or Jamien Sherwood (my preference). Don't overpay for limitations. I wouldn't waste much time on Omenihu either. He either wants to be here at a price or he doesn't. I'd change course to a guy like Chauncey Golston, Chase Young, or Josh Sweat very quickly if he doesn't. As for Trey Smith, I'm absolutely not interested in seeing us pay another OG top-of-market. Thuney was a rare exception because of his exceptional pass blocking and the deal made sense at the time. Trey Smith is not Joe Thuney and we need to pay other guys coming up soon. One guy I do want to see back is Wharton. We have minimal investment in him to date and he took a big leap this year as a guy that can give you a lot of snaps next to Jones instead of in relief of Jones. He's just now entering his prime years. I think we should take advantage of that even if it's something like a 3 for 21 type of deal. |

I feel really good about a post Travis Kelce world right now with Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy. Just keep adding onto those weapons.
I think this awesome DT class needs to be taken advantage of. Find your eventual Chris Jones replacement.

I'd like to bring Hollywood back even if he's gonna get dinged and miss some games.
Add another RB, maybe draft another WR in the mid rounds and go from there. |
