2025 OL Prospect Thread

Alright guys, let’s have ourselves a 2025 OL Thread.

Current OL Questions:

1) We’ve invested in OL, what are your thoughts on their development path and potential roles next season? ...Kingsley, Morris, Humpries, Caliendo, & Nourzard.

2) Thuney’s holding it down at LT fairly well and getting paid big money, are you open to him playing there or moving him back to LG? For the playoffs & SB or next season?

3) Are you planning on picking up Jawan Taylor’s contract option in 2026 @ $27m cap hit?

2025 OL Draft Prospects:

Depending on where you look we’ll get a chance to draft one of the following O-Lineman @ #32: Jones, Milum, Williams, Ersery, Simmons, Savaiinaea, Conley Jr or Booker. Some OL prospects that CP members have suggested for rounds 2-4 include Ratledge, Membou, Mbow, Jackson, Nelson, Brown, Colby, Belton, Fairchild & Zuhn, C Grant. Not much consistency in rankings or rounds for these prospects yet.

1) Would you take an O-Lineman in the first round or wait until later in the draft?

2) Who do you have your eye one? Why are they a good fit? Are they starters or projects?

3) Please add your own questions, comments, player draft profiles, links, videos etc for your favorite OL targets below!

IMO, because of the injury that's why he'll drop because reports are that he'll only do the weigh-in and Interviews during the process. Simmons will be ripe for the taking at the 25-28 range.

Probably in the minority here and not really sure if it's possible with the cap but I'd prefer they sign at vet at LT

Same here.

Too early to give up on Kingsley. Any draft pick likely won’t be any better.

Use the picks on BPA which almost certainly won’t be a LT.

My thing is it’d be really nice to have both OTs on a rookie deals for a few years after Taylor leaves, great way to control our costs if we can find a rookie to play LT and develop one of our recent picks to play RT. Going rate for a quality OT is around $20m per.

It’s early but it appears you’ll need a top 15 or so pick if you want a LT prospect worth a shit

Probably been said already but Humphries needs a full offseason with the Chiefs to get into shape and be fully ready to play. The guy was rushed back so maybe some time with the Chiefs training staff he can become serviceable for a season while the young guys keep working to improve or we find somebody else in 2026.

I’m certainly not against it but would tell him to work out in the offseason and come back healthy to tryout.

I'm not opposed, but it does depend on the price tag. One or two year prove it deal is fine. I'm not paying full freight.

Yup it's garbage you could maybe get 10 games out of Tyron Smith though and he's a pretty good LT. I dont really see any great options here I would be opening to trade for a LT too.

Trade out first rounder to the Giants who will miss out on the two to QBs and might want the 5th option on a guy like Jaxson Dart or Jalen Milroe.
Get the 34 pick a fifth rounder and Evan Neal who might fair better as a LT.

Hell throw Skyye Moore in too. The giants need WRs.

What do we want with two shittier OTs than we already have?
