I compare him to Cousins\Purdy..similar QB's like that in that you have to surround them with above -average\elite talent for them to be successful. Take that away then they suck kind of like Purdy did this year. We all lived this experience recently with Alex.

We definitely wouldn't be 15-1 with Darnold as our QB, probably more like 10-6 or worse.

Daniels is easily the best QB from this draft class. His combination of size, arm strength, poise and just enough mobility make him a top calibre starting QB.

So I’m just getting back into the thread and I’m sure someone has brought it up…. But Dan Campbell has to sit his guys tomorrow, yeah?

I know he won’t cause it would be the smart thing, but he should.

Purdy is much more reliant on his surrounding talent than either Cousins or Darnold, imo. Darnold just needed good coaching, more than anything.

I mean, yeah, Darnold wouldn't have led KC to 15 Ws this season, but with Andy coaching him, manufacturing touches for Worthy, DHop, Travis and Hunt, he would've been able to do at least as well as Alex's 10 Ws/season, more than likely.

I'm all about Andy Reid getting coach of the year. But man, I think KOC has earned the hell out of that award.

Purdy's efficiency was completely supported by the fact that CMC is Marshall Fualk. A RB that can run the entire route tree, run option routes, hots, etc. And since he mostly lines up in the backfield or the slot, he's not coverable by any LB/S. So he's open immediately every single time, within 10 yds of the LoS.

Without CMC, Purdy had to try and force passes beyond the sticks, and every defense sat on the sticks this season when they figured out Purdy couldn't throw deeper with any consistency. Purdy is just a more durable version of Tua.

Darnold can throw accurately and with velocity much farther than Prudy, so he'd still be effective without JJ, just not quite as efficiently. But the plays would still be there, and Darnold could still make the throws.

I should have my championship locked up regardless with Gibbs set to play, but I picked up Craig Reynolds to be safe.

Not with our tackle situation IMO. Not sure he would’ve made it through the season since he is a statue. Pat saved so many plays with his legs.

I will give Purdue credit at least he made it to the SB but I wouldn’t give him or Darnold a $50 million/ yr contract.
