He's looked pretty ****ing good from what I've seen when he's actually running the offense and not being used as a gimmick.

They can still trade away and rebuild with deshaun on the bench. But what's the point of that? Buy they won't. They're gonna try to bandaid this and keep trying to win. They could start 2027 with a clean cap and a roster chock full of young talent. Trying to keep winning means less draft picks, winning your way out of lottery picks, and a less favorable cap number.

How can you not feel really bad for cleveland? The bonkers thing is they could have had baker Mayfield, several extra picks, and probably could have saved themselves hundreds of millions without wasting their Garrett / Chubb window

I don’t feel bad for them one bit after the shitty way they treated Baker.

And they would’ve kept 6 draft picks plus the quarter billion dollars. Easily could’ve been in the SB hunt these last 2-3 years.

Outside of Garrett and maybe Ward is there anyone else on that team worth anything when it comes to draft picks? Chubb is done and I don’t see him being worth much in a trade at all.

Browns still have a talented roster. Denzel ward, Conklin, bitonio. Can get plenty of value for guys like njoku and jeudy. Even Cedric tilman or Elijah Moore or delpit. Even if you get a low round pick you can clear up tens of millions and it makes them worse which helps them tank for better picks. I think they've got a lot more value than the average tanking team because they're an average team if only they had even a halfway decent qb

Really not sure what the Browns and Saints are doing with their cap.

Both would have been far better off with a massive bloodletting for a couple seasons.

They need to cut bait and just absorb the loss. Like the Broncos did with Wilson.

Watson suffered a “setback” with his Achilles injury recovery.

Cleveland should draft a QB #2 overall, sign a veteran stopgap QB and see if they can figure out an injury settlement with Watson.

Did Watson really steal money from a willing idiot franchise?

My goodness, Cleveland is hell, and it's mostly self-imposed.
