'No way to know'. Yeah, except for the fact they'd rather start raw as **** and totally unprepared Suamataia over Morris.

Almost like finding a LT is REALLY ****ING HARD especially when you are drafting at the end of every rd and guys like Kingsley and Wanya are your only options

So your idea is to move the best LG in the NFL and our best OL out of position to LT in camp where he has only had a couple games of spot duty? Wut?

I don’t think Andy even thought Thuney could play LT this well until we were forced to find out.

FFS how many G’s have ever moved to LT and played like this? Has to be an extremely small sample size in NFL history

When the alternative was those two chuckle ****s then yeah, may not be a bad idea to at least try it out. Especially since like you said, he's already played LT here in spot duty

Is the problem Andy Heck?

To have back to back 2nd and 3rd round tackles that are literally unplayable right now… that’s not normal.

Andy heck continues to be underrated by CP. you guys don’t get how good this guy is?

Caliendo stepping in at LG and playing well? Allegretti stepping in and playing well in the playoffs last year? Converting Wylie from RG to RT and getting good play in the playoffs in 2022?

Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith. Developing Mr. French Canadian Dr LDT from possible Canadian League player to a good RG? Developing Eric Fisher? Making Zach Fulton a playable C and getting him paid? Same with Mitch Morse.

Andy Heck is not the problem. The problem is LT’s are like QB’s. There aren’t many good ones and if you don’t draft high in the draft it’s very difficult.

Woah, when you put it all together instead of focusing on an individual player...... makes sense

Also you guys need to hold off on Wanya. He looked really good at RT vs Houston. I was at that game and didn’t even know Jawaan got hurt he played so well. And he wasn’t getting much help and played elite book ends.

Kid played RT OU and looked great there. Geoff Schwartz and Jeff Allen are a lot smarter/knowledgeable than us and both said he looks like a completely different player at RT.

Very interested to see him vs Denver. He’s probably playing RT. I think it’s possible he could be Jawaan Taylor’s replacement in 2026.

Nah. Mahomes freaking the **** out and his subsequent benching probably spells the end of any long term prospects he would have had here. He'll be a swing tackle for 25 and 26 then be off into irrelevance.

He was thrown into the fire against some of the best pass rushers in the NFL. This is probably the best the LT position has looked since Roaf.

He’s looked great. They should leave him there

That’s why getting the 1 seed helps. Denver might be playing for a playoff spot and their DL is elite. If Wanya looks good again at RT against them I think you might have to consider him being the future RT.

From Nate Taylor’s Athletic article.

I can’t imagine having the bandwidth to watch film and start planning for your next opponent, while you are about play your current opponent.

Incredible.

Last Saturday, Chiefs coach Andy Reid tried to accomplish two tasks. He woke up early that morning and drove to the Chiefs’ training facility like always. But Saturday was different because the Chiefs’ schedule required a different type of workday. Reid spent a few hours watching film of the Pittsburgh Steelers just hours before the Chiefs hosted the Houston Texans.

Doesn't matter if Mahomes is done with him. We'll see what happens going forward but I'm not expecting him to have any sort of time outside of back up going forward.
