Yeah I saw the replay. The refs made the correct call. He loses possession of it just a ****hair before it reaches the goal line. Dumbest mistake you can make in all of football.

Hampton was just lucky (in spite of his foolishness) on that one.

In 1971, Pittsburgh Steeler WR Dave Smith caught a pass against KC and was on his way to a 55-yard TD and started an early celebration at the 5-yard line, only to have the ball fly out of his hand and roll through the end zone. This time, the refs did see it and correctly ruled a touchback. Smith was just out of luck.
Spend a lot of time on Google, eh?

Interesting tidbits though. Thanks for sharing.

No, the videos are up on YouTube.

That would include the video of the Donks at KC game in 1986 where the KC Defense kicks Elway's ass and shows the graph that Elway's first 7 starts against KC resulted in Elway throwing 3 TD's and 16 INT's.

What was that some Donks fans were saying about Elway owning KC?

If it were obvious, that’s one thing. That was as close as it gets and I’m not sure they even got it right.

Crazy close, but I think they got it right. I certainly don’t expect them to call it though. Silly move either way.

Agree they got it right. And honestly if you drop the ball anywhere that people have to go back and watch video to decide, then **** you regardless. Jonathan Taylor probably killed whatever remaining hope the Colts had this year with that incredibly selfish play.

The Colts were slowly working themselves off of my hate list but now they are back on.

Like drafting Bradley Chubb over Josh Allen?

Could the Broncos lose to the Chargers this weekend, the Bengals the weekend after, and the Chiefs the final week and miss the playoffs?

If the Chargers win out this season they end up at 11-6 with the head-to-head victory over the Broncos who could, at best, do 11-6 but would likely end up at 9-8. Then it would be up to the Bengals, Dolphins, and Colts (who could all finish 9-8).

If Denver, Indy, Cincy, and Miami all end up 9-8? Indy gets in.
If Indy doesn't make it to 9-8 but the others do? Miami gets in.
If Indy and Miami don't make 9-8? Cincy gets in.

Only way Denver gets in is they win another one of their last three games.

How funny would it be to see the Bengals get in and go into Buffalo and then knock out the Bills before coming to Arrowhead and losing before we face the Ravens/Steelers/Texans/Whatever is left?

Would be funnier if the Chiefs are playing Wentz and just trying to get the regular season over with...and knock them out with backups..

Edit*

I just did the playoff simulator:

If Indy and cinci win out and Denver loses out, Indy gets the tiebreaker between the 3 (according to the simulator).

Teams should be docked 7 points if that happens.

Here’s a scenario that people aren’t talking about…there’s a decent chance that Denver could be locked into their playoff seed in week 18. They might rest starters and let KC clinch the 1 seed in Mile High. Lol

I was actually thinking that earlier and I see it as a very likely probability.
