If there's something Veach has been money about it's gauging the interest in the draft and moving into the right position to get his guy. Clearly someone else was about to give the Niners something to jump ahead of us.

The actual weird part is the Bills and Niners trading with us. If I had to pick two teams that'd be willing to trade with us I imagine they'd be near the bottom of the list.
