Hardman/Watson at 4/5 and Moore in Carolina for a late round pick sounds a-okay to me.
Hardman won't be under contract, right? Toney and Moore will be so.....

So what?

They're sunk costs. And that's presuming that you can't get either traded for (or with) a late round pick. They're not so tight against the cap that it makes sense to keep bad players and/or malcontents on a team with a legit shot at a 3-peat.

Hardman isn't going to have a massive FA market and ultimately I'm betting KC wins any ties to retain his services should they so choose.

They healthy scratched Moore as well. Being active and getting ZERO snaps is a special kind of buried. You were literally on the roster because they had a spare spot. And they had zero plans to actually use you anyway.

I don't see the team passing on MVS's last contract year at a reasonable cost. Whether you like him or not, the team appears to support him. He is reputed to be a good teacher. His blocking is excellent. He still draws safety help. Surely his numbers must be better next season. If anything, this playoff run has given him a great boost heading into the offseason.

Moore is not a replacement for MVS. He can only hope to be Rice-lite in the future. Watson runs some MVS routes, but he can't do it alone. I think an early draft pick will be invested in a speed receiver to learn from, spell and then replace MVS.

I don’t think keeping skyy is a slam dunk. I can see us bringing in 3 WRs and keeping Watson and rice. And wouldn’t rule out remigio who has upside simply because being better than skyy is a pretty low bar. If the chiefs had any faith in the guy whatsoever he would’ve suited up for the SB. I don’t think veach is stubborn about moving on from a mistake

Honestly, I really liked Juaun Jennings from the Niners. He was a 7th rounder who they cut a time or two, but he outplayed both Debo and Ayuk. Honestly, that's how you keep a dynasty alive; keep finding the young, cheap, hungry guys.

That's a stretch.

He got easier matchups due to our attention on Deebo and Aiyuk.

There is no reason KC can't add both top end WR's and better depth players through draft and FA if they decide to focus on the offense this offseason.

But in order to have better roster players they need to move on from Skyy Moore, Justin Watson, etc.

He will have to take a pay cut which I don’t think he’ll take. Way too expensive for what he brings. But All the reasons you mentioned scream frank clark. He got his shit together for the playoffs but it felt more like just finally having a non-rice option catch the shit he’s supposed to. Even with all mecoles mistakes we seemed more willing to use him as a vertical option over Mvs, which doesn’t bode well when we don’t call on him to do the one thing he’s there for.

As with clark, incredibly grateful for his place in chiefs history. But we gotta move on. You can tell the chiefs really want to stretch the defense but at the same time hold their breath still any time they take a shot with these guys. I think the chiefs will focus on a more consistent threat than a guy with this low a target share.

Also Mvs will be 30 next year which isn’t ideal for a guy whose sole trait is speed

If Mooney would sign for 10-12 million he would be an upgrade.
