They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

If we had anyone close to him to pair with Kelce and Rice we would have the 1 seed locked up.

The Chiefs have 6 draft picks and need to rebuild their entire WR core. LT is up in the air, the best player at every level of the defense is an FA this spring and their QB has a cap hit of $57 million next year.

No way in hell is trading a 1st and paying for Aiyuk a good idea.

Maybe Veach's plan is to play possum for a few years and try to win Championships after Mahomes is past physical prime in 2028 when he allocates a 28 million dollar cap hit.

Why does everyone believe that the WR talent has went to shit when we only lost JuJu from 2022?? Come on we know it’s the coaching, these guys could ruin anyone with their play calling and amateur WR coaching staff. We don’t need better receivers, we need better coaching.

Or it's a combination of both things. Guess we will see what kind of changes they make for next season.

Um, because the WRs are shit? They lead the league in drops? They have a bottom-of-the-barrel success%? Terrible Passer Rating? On tape, they can't line up or make any pre-snap adjustments? Their sight adjustments are non-existent? They're among the worst group vs. man in the league?

i mean, when your WR room is either dead last or within a stone's throw of being the worst in nearly every statistical analysis/metric, is there really a question about their lack of talent/football IQ?

Yep it's probably a combination. Lack of talent, lack of prioritising the WR position with money and draft capital (which connects to talent), poor coaching, poor matching of skillsets to scheme, poor evaluation of scheme weaknesses etc etc. Probably a lot going wrong to varying degrees

Yep. Also can not tell me that MVS, Tooney, and even Watson do not know what they should be doing. When your in the league as long as they are just do not see a coach making that much of a difference. They should know what they are doing and what needs to be done.

You're right, but he's also right they've all regressed across the board. Moore was nt gold last year, now he looks like he shouldn't be in the league. Toney flashed now he's dropping everything, a problem he's never had. MVS is now unplayable.

The single biggest fix will be bringing in talent, but man I am not convinced Nagy and crew can get the best out of players.

I don't disagree with that last sentence. Obviously, there's been some kind of drop off in the coaching, or lack thereof, between last season and this one. But these guys weren't great last season either.

Taken just as a WR unit, they plateaued somewhere around Week 11-12 last season, and weren't a whole lot more effective than what we've seen this season. It was just hidden by the fact that Travis and McKinnon were having career years, And Hardman had a little segment where he was scoring in the RZ every other game.

But they weren't effing up things like lining up and dropping the ball like they are this season. How much of that is coaching, I'm not sure. But it's probably part of it.

Yep. JAG means 'NFL average.' Just another guy.

What we have in KC is 4 'below average' guys. Significantly below average. pat could probably make it work with JAGs, but not with this collection of chickenshit. No one could.

Yeah, I would say D-Rob is a JAG. He is capable of the basics such as route-running, field awareness, and catching the ball. There are a ton of similar guys around the league. The current group in KC seems to really struggle with this basic stuff.

Correct.

Too bad our front office and coaching staff managed to put together a receiving group that can't even qualify as JAGs this season.
