****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

He’s good but wildly overrated by many. He’s a volume play. If ARod got Davante no one cares about him.

Likely? He’d 100% be the WR1 here and would easily surpass 1,000 yards considering he’s probably on pace for 1,100 or so catching passes from Zach Wilson.

Fair enough. I was trying to be kind to Rice, although I suspect our perception of him is skewed by the dog shit that surrounds him.

Rice has his fair share of drops and fumbles. Route-running is not great either, which is not too surprising as a rookie. Hopefully he will improve on some of these issues over time.

One of the biggest reasons the Chiefs have struggled this year isn't just because of the WR's. McKinnon scored 9 TD's for us last year and was a big part of our playoff run.

Andy has always had a good receiving back help his offenses. It's no surprise that the offense looked much better in NE when Clyde was serviceable and showed spurts of looking better when McKinnon was healthy.

They have to get a good receiving back who can also block this Spring to replace McKinnon. High priority.

Rice is a WR 2… We need a true #1 receiver on this team next year..

He’s talented but hard to say what we have until he gets real NFL coaching.

Why are people so adamant about Rice being a #2? He's probably the 2nd best WR out of his class and has a decent shot at breaking 1000 yds his rookie year. Clear up some rookie mistakes and he's easily a #1 WR.

Hasn't really shown the ability to beat man coverage. The end.

Chiefs have utilized Rice very well though and put him in great positions to succeed. He could get there, obviously, but you gotta keep swinging at the WR position.

Mahomes cap hit is 57 mil. Forget a big name WR. It's not happening.

Because right now he is a manufactured touch WR that also does not win routes down the field.
