They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

And apparently no one noticed. Not one coach. Not another 'veteran' player or WR. Like you know, MVS, the supposed "leader" of the WR room.

So it makes me wonder just what else isn't being noticed?
Nagy and Embree ****ing suck at this. There is no other logical explanation. They do NOT have any of these guys ready to play.

'Totally predictable results'? Oh no. Not even.

This is an unprecedented regression of an entire position group. MVS is the same guy? Gods no. Not even close. Toney is the same? No, not even close. Moore? He's not even the same as last February. It's the WHOLE ROOM, all WORSE than in February.

You could make an argument that they wouldn't be great-that's reasonable. If they're even run of the mill lousy, this team is 10-3 or 11-2.

Do you have any faith that if they ran 'corn dog' that Toney catches the ball? I don't.
Do you have any faith that if Kelce lined up wrong in the slot that Toney would have the instincts to cover the OT, and not go in motion, and instead indicate to Mahomes that they should motion Moore instead? No, me neither. And that Moore would run that route and actually catch that ball for the TD in the biggest moment of the biggest game of his life? No, me neither.
Do you believe that MVS is capable right now of performing like he did in the AFCCG, when we absolutely had to have someone step up for 6-116 and a TD? Yeah, no. No way. He's broken.

THIS, this was not predictable.

It's entirely reasonable to expect your young players to improve with experience. It's entirely reasonable for a group of players to be better in year two of an Andy Reid offense than year one.

It's not normal to have an entire group regress to historically bad across the board.

This is on coaching, boys.

This is on poor attention to details and lack of accountability on the part of the offensive coordinator and the WR coach. There is no reason for the ENTIRE group to have become unplayable.

Talent? **** that argument. We can not like the Skyy Moore pick, but the fact is that he went about where every prognosticator thought he would, in the second round. Toney was a first rounder.

Rice is the only one that's shown anything, and he is what we should have expected-a talented but somewhat raw rookie.

MVS's drop rate is astronomical. Toney has no idea what he's doing. Skyy Moore can't run a route or get open to save his life.

The only guy that's roughly the same guy as last year is Watson, who's a #4 type guy that can occasionally play up.

Ritchie missed most of the season, but he was a first down machine with Danny 'brother can you spare a dime' in NY.

Toney missed camp, but damn, that was 14 weeks ago. What the hell?

No, this group should have been at LEAST mediocre.

Instead, it's historically bad.

So enjoy your victory lap. I'm sure it's satisfying.

If these guys were the same guys as last year, this team would be 10-3 or 11-2.

Nagy and Embree ****ing suck at this.

No, I would have preferred the Chiefs just acquired a real NFL WR that could catch the ball at the trade deadline and we would be legit SB Contenders.

Instead we went the route you wanted to save $$$ for some future year without Chris Jones and Travis Kelce and it crashed and burned. None of these guy were ever good in the league, how hard is that to understand?!

I don't care that CEH was picked in the 1st. Not a difference maker.

Skyy was a 2nd? So? Not a difference maker.

No, this group should never have been mediocre because in order to do that you would need actual players that are mediocre.

You completely underrated what it takes to be an NFL pro. JuJu might have been mediocre but that was FAR MORE than what these other clowns bring to the table.

It took Taylor 4 or 5 games to figure out how to lineup correctly.

Hopefully Toney figures it out before the playoffs

I still can't believe Andy put such an inexperienced coach with the WR group, knowing that it was probably the biggest weakness on the team from a roster standpoint. Needed a more experienced person to help those guys. Route running and lining up correctly at the line of scrimmage are coaching issues, whereas I'm not sure the drop problem is a coaching issue.

MVS can't even find the ball. No way, he will notice Toney lined up incorrectly.

If players and coaches review film every day, every week, every hour, every second, how did this go unnoticed this long?

They have tablets on the sideline, and no one noticed Toney until yesterday. smh

Yeah, that is quite clear.

I understand why they paid Jawaan all that $$$ but to me it was paying a premium as insurance.

We need a left tackle so they wanted to have an answer before the draft.

But really if your guy is a right tackle that could play left tackle in a pinch just admit he's not really a left tackle and you overpaid for the "insurance".

Undisciplined, sloppy football is a symptom of poor coaching. It's crystal clear at this point that we have a coaching issue on the offensive side of the ball. We could field a well-coached D2 team on offense and have fewer penalties and drops.

Don't buy this at all. Rice has gotten better and better all year and looks like a legit weapon the last month. It's talent.

Again the Packers are WRU and yet MVS couldn't ever fix his problems there. No surprise he can't fix it here.
Watson was on a practice squad a month before we picked him up.
Skyy never showed he could play against NFL level talent in college or the NFL

Toney is the only one outside of Rice that has shown he can make plays but he's either hurt or making galactically stupid mistakes.

They don't have talent man. It's that simple

Wut. Rice hasn't developed for shit. He's the exact same guy that walked into camp day one. They just force fed him a ton of screens and Slants recently because that's all they apparently think he can do consistently.

And Green Bay being some WR factory?!! Are you for ****ing real? This place denigrates Green Bay daily for how they treated Rodgers when it came to skill position talent and yet somehow they're all of a sudden a well oiled machine churning out talent at the position? Lolololololol

MVS is the same player he always was. Veach decided they needed to replace Tyreek with cheaper parts and the answer was JuJu as the possession chain mover and MVS a vertical guy. When you see MVS last year Reid just used him more in spacing attacks down field where he was schemed open.

This year those plays aren't being given to him and MVS is at best a decoy that now a year later teams don't even buy at that level.

They're all WORSE than they were down the stretch last year. To a man.

Rice isn't really 'developing', he's the same guy he was in college. He's got some of the playbook down.

Moore was a consensus second round player. I wasn't crazy about him as a prospect, but that was absolutely a consensus.

Toney was a first round pick. Down the stretch last season, he looked like it. He caught passes, he made highlight reel plays. Now he can't catch a cold, and can't even line up right.

MVS is a 50% catch rate guy career-long. That's on a very deep depth of target rate. He's ****ing horrible this season. He has no idea what he's doing and he can't catch much of anything.

No, it's not the same. If it was the same as last year-with ALL the same guys mind you, we'd have similar results. They did not drop everything last year at a historically bad rate. They actually made some plays. Same guys this year, can't do a ****ing thing right.

It's not the same. It's a remarkable regression.

I saw a few positive signs this week but it hasn't been much development for a team happy to suffer with younger players you would think they would be featuring Rice in more traditional WR ways by now but it is very, very slow.

The most logical explanation is that our receivers flat out aren't any good.

All this talk about regression and yet these WRs are exactly who they were when we picked up other teams trash.

Coaching needs to be better and maybe shaken up. but they also should be given the understanding that there's only so much you can do when the talent isn't there
