They're not similar though. They're not using Rice the way they used Juju. Kelce isn't playing as well as he used to. MVS literally can't track a ball to save his life. Toney is limited by the coaches and can't get on the field. And Skyy is Skyy.

Rice is good, but until they start using him like how they used Juju last year, he's just a better version of Mecole hardman. They have to expand his route tree and allow him to play a complete role and not just bubble screens and quick passes.

Goal should be to win the Super Bowl.
It is but you do have to realize the Chiefs w Mahomes/Reid are not going to win the SB every single year. No need to panic if it doesn't happen this season.

This is a staggering statistic and I can't imagine Skyy is much better, which makes it all the worse. I dunno, maybe Mahomes needs to embrace a little bit of the "chuck it up there dawg" mentality and see if MVS can make a play here and there. It's better than getting nothing time and again. There's not alot to sink your teeth into on any front.

I'd really like to see Toney getting more of those routes and snaps but lord knows wtf is going on there.

No need to "panic" but you realize if we added just 2 more decent weapons in FA and draft we are the clear SB favorites now and Mahomes already on his way to 3rd MVP?

DeAndre Hopkins in FA at 10 million or less cap hit this year and a Josh Downs after Rice in the draft and we would be golden.

Yeah, Toney is the one they need to become the real guy outside.

It's not looking good for that though.

If anyone ever had a theory that Andy saves his best stuff, we will find out this weekend. No way following a loss facing buffalo (with an easier final stretch) do we not throw everything we’ve got. I still think the biggest thjng we can do is get way more creative with things like misdirections and presnap. Use these designs to scheme quick hitters.

Sure, hopefully Reid can figure out how to get some guys down the field to catch a ball.

Most of the time though we should be running right at Buffalo. Run right at them as Buffalo can't stop it. When McD brings more up to stop run game then you unleash the daggers.

The Chiefs went all in from the moment Patrick was a rookie QB. 4 years that lead to 3 Super Bowl appearances and 2 Super Bowl wins. Sammy Watkins, Honey Badger, Frank Clark (love or hate him).

You guys seem to think Veach was the catalyst for this new deal. The old one was fine but by all means Patrick wanted more money. He said as much in his presser after the restructure. So it was Patrick that wanted this.

They also said that the contract would be picked up again at some point. Probably in a few years.

Rice and Toney need to be running routes past 10 yards and catching the ball or this team going home way early this year.

The new deal doesn't force cap hits high next 4 years and lower after that.

Veach can adjust that. If he doesn't he should be replaced with a GM who understands the cap.

I mean...it does.

They can push money into those lower years, but I'd guess looking at it, it's gonna be re addressed in 4 years anyway.

You realize that adjusting and lowering the cap hit requires a restructure to pay out Patrick right? You realize that that requires Clark Hunt to write a check for Mahomes in the form of a guarantee right?

That's not a Veach problem. It's happened once in 4 years. It depends on if Clark is willing to spend on it.

No, it doesn't.

We will know in the offseason if Veach decides to have Mahomes cap hit at 57 million dollars in Kelce's possible last year that he doesn't know what he is doing.

Money is already guaranteed. All that is happening is accounting.

Just convert the roster bonus you need and the cap hits spread out over the rest of contract.

Simple.
