I was told right here on CP early in the year that MVS was the veteran leader in the WR. That the young WRs could learn what they needed to learn from MVS. that a player like DHop couldn't possibly teach young WRs anything MVS couldn't.

MVS and Moore STILL lead the entire room in snaps taken. 475 and 456. It gets to a point where the blame shifts from the players sucking to the coaches for continuing to use a player that obviously sucks and needs moved down the depth chart.

Imagine how bad Toney must be in practice that they're afraid to even have him run routes at WR during actual games.

You are giving our coaching way to much credit right now. I don't know why the **** they are not using Toney, he CAN not be worse than those other two.

Hell HE had more looks last year when he was fresh coming over. Like wtf are we doing

We know that's not the case though. He stepped in almost immediately last year and flashed more upside right out of the gate than Moore EVER has. The snap counts this year are ****ing nonsensical.

We are thinking we are going to let CJ walk because his production while we might not be able to replace right away... We can replace.

Theres nothing I can add here that hasn't already been said, but I just don't see how we repeat with this receiver room

It damn sure couldn't hurt to bench Moore and MVS obviously, and concentrate on Rice, Toney, James and Watson to see if they can build and demonstrate some cohesion

It really feels like the constant rotation, and keeping the wrong players on the field too often, has deeply contributed to Mahomes yips

Its just so weird to see Reid doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result... self scouting my ass

Fine bring in Desean Jackson, or bring back Sammy... but it just seems too late for quick fixes

For better or worse we have the guys we're rolling into the playoffs with

Toney performed against Alabama in college.

Skyy Moore is not anywhere close and never will be.

Our SB chances most likely are on Toney doing something. There’s nothing else here that moves the needle enough.

The Chiefs won the SB with scrubs at WR last year. They thought they could do it again.

There's a consistent theme throughout conversation right now by SMART people in the league and who break down film.

And that is this...
Patrick Mahomes has no room for error with these WR's
These WR's have to be schemed open because they cannot win by themselves

And that is coming from virtually everyone.

So if Pat is off and has a poor game, or even a whatever game, we're gonna lose. Unless the defense is 2000 Ravensesque that day. And they aren't.

The thing is, Juju, while not great, was good enough so that the rest of the WR's did not have to play as big of a role as they do now.

The drop off to Rice is massive because Rice doesn't know the whole offense, and is a rookie. So everyone else's flaws have become more magnified.

This isn't a SB team. We don't have the weapons to compete with the best teams right now come playoff time. Maybe Rice steps up more next year but with a true #1 this team is likely undefeated this year because the three games we lost were due to all the drops. Last night, Pat had an off game and doesn't have someone who is going to be the play maker when he's off and the defense isn't playing their best.

It's that simple. We need at real #1, or a high level #2 and Trav isn't getting younger.

So if we don't get a true #1 in FA next year then either Rice has to take the next step or we'll continue to have this issue.

It'd sure be nice if we gave snaps to the WR with the closest thing to #1 upside we have on this team.

Rice played 70% of the snaps.

I fully expect the Chiefs to sign a potential #1 WR next year, if not multiple high-end WRs. It has to be priority #1 for them.
