For 10 years the Packers only ever paid their QB and the WRs they drafted. Those were some damn good WRs, sure, but the very reason they only got Rodgers to one appearance was because they couldn’t draft or coach a real defense.

The reason why the Packers only got 1 SB when they were "competing" every year is because their GM did not understand when to push and when to finish.

Hopefully Veach isn't as stubborn and uses the salary cap as a weapon and learns to manipulate it to his advantage when you have a team on the cusp.

There is no guarantee we will be as good 4-5 years from now as we are now. The time to win SB's when you have a team to do it is NOW.

Yes, because building a roster is based on basic probabilities like the game of blackjack.
