I have zero desire to go back to opposing offenses scoring 30 points at will on us.

We've shown that with even mid-tier WR play, we can be the best offense in football.
Diminishing returns of going to a sb then an afc champ game and having elite offenses?

Here’s the thing man, they’re not gonna be field those type teams every year. The league is set up for them not to. You have to put so many resources into year on year out keeping the defense rhere, you end up chasing your tail.

Last year is proving to be an outlier in terms of what happened. Pat just can’t play at that level without help at the wr spot and Kelce is just aging.

You don't think that's the same case for an offense? They aren't keeping Thuney, Creed and Trey together past next season, Kelce is declining and the WR's need work.

That's why it doesn't make sense when people say "we don't need that many draft picks bc they won't play". That's never the case. Very rarely is a team loses enough to be infallible.

Because you aren’t going to keep drafting like they have. No team has.

If you hit 2 players from each draft as good players then some role players, you’re fine.

They’re not gonna keep hitting entire drafts. Doesn’t work that way

Correct.

Here are the facts:

QB's don't win as many SB's past age 31. Look at the data. It is much harder to do so. Mahomes is 28 years old right now. His prime window is now.

Tom Brady is an outlier.

Aikman won 3 SB's by age 29.

Roethlisberger won his 2 by age 26.

Brett Favre 27

Aaron Rodgers 27

Joe Montana won his last SB age 33.

Eli Manning 27 and 31.

Kurt Warner 28

Drew Brees 31

It's not impossible to win later but many of the examples such as Peyton Manning was carried by an all-time defense, John Elway wasn't carrying the Broncos when he was over 35.

Additionally, Travis Kelce is here for another year or so. We need to win now.

Chris Jones last year, maybe they get him one more year next year. Need to win now.

Sneed, Bolton, Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, McDuffie, Karlaftis, etc all cheap right now. Most of the guys will not be soon.

Need to win 2 SB's in the next 3 years because the time to win is NOW.

Now Veach might have not understood this and thought he could Green Bay Packer this for ten years but hopefully he is aware soon that having

Justin Watson as your #1 WR is unacceptable during this prime window.

Having MVS as your highest paid WR is unacceptable during this prime window.

Reid has to work with what he has but Rice needs to be pushed to perform NOW.

Toney needs to be on the field getting the ball in key passing situations NOW.

MVS needs to be off the field if he can't catch or run routes correctly. Same for Justin Watson.

We don't have much room for error because of this WR group so Reid needs to bring the hammer down now or this season will end much sooner than it should have.

You’re not winning sbs every year anyway

It’s too hard and requires too much luck

They’re also ahead of a lot of these other teams cap wise in having a high paid qb.

The ravens and bills and chargers and bengals are just entering that

Meanwhile Philly doesnt have a cap hit over 21mil until 2026 for Jalen Hurts. That contract is amazing.

They understand they need to win now.

Same as 49ers. Look at what they added.

Veach might have got high on this own supply because we won last year.

There is no reason to have Mahomes cap hit next year be 57 million. They should move at least 20 of that to other years.

This narrative that Kelce is in free fall is dumb. He’s being mauled, triple gang-banged, and stalked on nearly every play. His early season performance before defenses decided to ignore all other pass catchers was on par for his career.

Good thing Veach has a working memory.

I keep asking for someone to make sense of the Mahomes restructure and no one can. How did we add 40mil to his cap over the next 4 years and only create 2.5mil cap relief this year. Aren't restructures supposed to be a 1:1 thing? Where if you're adding 40mil to his cap the next 4 years, you get 40mil in relief for this year? Veach has to have some 4D chess moves planned out for next year regarding that contract because it doesn't make sense.

You can't keep moving Mahomes money back. It's time to pay him. That's the way it is for a talent like him.

This is incredibly simple guys. The Chiefs traded Tyreek and used that draft to build an incredible defense. Trade Chris Jones for draft picks and do the same while using the money you were gonna spend on him for a good bet WR.

The draft and fair FA deals like Juju, Tranquill, D. Smith and Omenihu is how you win on a QB contract.

The Patriots did that for years. It's the correct blueprint.

Hurts is overrated as hell. He's like a Dak clone. Don't look at the SB bc it was the outlier.

Dude has the best OL in football, excellent running game and Goedert, Brown and Devonta as his receiving targets? He's underperforming relative to that talent.

Mahomes would have 50+ TD's and 5k+ yards with that offense

He looked like he couldn't read a defense to save his life Monday night.

Yes, give me the Eagles. The Dallas OL is good enough to neutralize our pass rush. The 49ers are just a ****ing beast.
