They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Mike Tannenbum on ESPN just said the Chiefs' problems were on more Jawaan Taylor and Donovan Smith than the WRs. Interesting.

come on, man.
The eagles were pretty much letting Justin Watson roam free all day long. You think kelce is getting bottled up because he can’t beat single coverage? When you have a stud like kelce you’re gonna have multiple people collapsing on him. When you run the ball for 100 yards on a great pass rush they’re going to start paying attention to the run. That includes keeping a lb to spy on mahomes and keep him in the pocket.

And with all that our WRs STILL are bad at getting open.

And once again you have to address that even when Watson, Mvs and skyy do get open they’re risky to throw to because they are very subpar at finishing their route and catch. So even if it is true that these guys are good enough to get open we’ve seen time and time again that they’re ineffective even when they’re open. That’s a big problem and undoubtedly why mahomes doesn’t trust these guys

They’re getting open fine just catch the ball. End. Stop point.

The eagles dared them to beat them deep in the second half and they did, they just dropped the ball.

Get hardman and Toney running those routes or something. Mvs and Watson are terrible

Did their lack of blocking cause the WR's to drop passes right in their hands? They might have been a problem also, but the biggest problem, by far, were/are the WR's.

You have said repeatedly that the $50 million year quarterback has to do more. He can't do any more than put the ball right in the hands of WR's... I think you're right in that going forward they need to go with Rice, Toney and Hardman. They're the playmakers.

I don't agree with him, but it may time to start contemplating Taylor has been a bust. Tannebaum or one of the other guys argued that Kelce is asked to stay in and chip more. Is there data anywhere on that?

It’s all about money. Guys have to play to their contract or you’re losing value.

Pat deserves some blame here. Yes the drops on the final drive were killer. They might not have been in that spot if the 50 million dollar qb hadn’t thrown an interception in the endzone or the hall of game tight end hadn’t fumbled at the 9 yard line.

I don’t put the same expectations on cheap young draft picks. They’re gonna **** up and do dumb shit. It happens.

And yet there are a gazillion clips of our WRs doing an awful job reading the defense, sitting down in their routes, making subtle route adjustments. Hardman definitely doesn't fix that problem and toney seems doubtful too.

It doesn't matter if guys get open when mahomes throws with a blindfold on because he has no damn clue where the WR will wind up. Just because you leave Ben Simmons open for a 3 pointer doesn't mean offensive players are flying open everywhere

Taylor, thus far, is nowhere near worth his contract. Thst's for damn sure. Smith is "ok" for what he's being paid. He's actually an improvement over OBJ IMO.

Yeah, if you take some random clips thru a game, guys may not be open. That’s every team in the league.

This whole bullshit that they “aren’t getting open where they’re supposed to be” is just tired shit.

They’re not open every play. Yet when it gets nutt cutting time late, weirdly guys are open where they’re supposed to be and Pat puts it on them and they drop it.

Turnovers and penalties are the big issue but the drops are the shiny toy everyone focuses on. Sure, that’s a problem, but it’s secondary

They’ve had to chip so much that Andy had to devise double tight end motion to disguise who and where the chip was going to happen. Trying to help the tackles but also keep Kelce in tight while getting a semi-free release.

I mean a WR who doesn't get open and when they do, and the QB puts it on them, they drop the ball is kind of the worst possible combination for a QB. There's no way to have both of those scenarios and think it won't affect a QBs play. There's no way Mahomes is as eager to throw the ball when MVS is open on his 2 plays a game after seeing what he's been doing the past year.

MVS has 29 catches, 477 yards, 2 TDs and a 45% catch rate his last 17 games. This is what he is. How can any QB maintain the same level of trust and chemistry after seeing that for a full season?
