I think Mahomes should get after them a little publicly, because what he is doing now isn't working.

I am not saying he should publicly call out Moore, MVS, or anyone, but always taking the blame has had no impact on their performance, and maybe hearing the best QB in the world tell the world that he isn't happy they keep dropping passes, and not being where they are supposed to be, could make them wake the **** up, and realize that Mahomes put the spotlight on them, and hopefully they have some damn professionals pride, and take steps to work on catching the ball, etc.

Every person is different, so what motivates some, will shut down others, but sometimes people need a kick in the ass.

All good questions. Again, I'd love to sit in on the WRs meeting and see how that goes. I suspect some will make excuse, others will say the right things, but if they haven't come together as a unit after playing together this long I'm not sure being honest or getting an ass kicking is going to lead to overnight changed.

This WR group is just a mess both talent wise and being a well-oiled machine.

Andy and Nagy have a real problem on their hand with these characters.

I'm inclined to give the 2x MVP QB the benefit of the doubt over the JAG WRs when assigning blame here.

I've said it before: in private Mahomes is a lot, lot more edgy and direct. If he has issues, they'd hear it from him face-to-face. And that's the way it should be.

I said that I don't think he should call anyone out by name, but I think he could answer a question honestly for once.

He could say.....

Mahomes: Yeah, I mean, it does get frustrating. Drops hurt us tonight, and when those drops end drives it gets frustrating, but it's not just frustrating for the fans, or for me, but I promise y'all that no one in that locker room is more frustrated than our receivers.

He doesn't have to say, yeah, Marquez should have caught that pass because I threw it 59 yards in the air, and laid it into his hands. He has to do better.

He doesn't have to say, yeah, I mean, 4th and 25 isn't easy to pick up, and twice this year I made throws that picked up the first down, only to have my receivers let me down by dropping balls that hit them in the chest or hands. JWat and Skyy need to focus when it matters the most.

He just needs to make them uncomfortable.

And it's a question because the way the Reid, Nagy and the Chiefs are approaching the issue is absolutely, 100% not working. If you want a different result.....etc.

100% agree. That agreed to, sadly I don't see a quick fix; these guys can neither catch the ball nor run the routes correctly. This isn't Days of Thunder where the crew chief convinces the driver to do it his way and see the difference, I don't think Andy, Nagy, or PMII can teach these people how to catch a ball.

Sorry, dude, but this is ridiculous.

The idea that just slightly calling them out in public - but not doing it explicitly - will make a difference is lunacy. Do you think MVS isn't going to perform the next game because he didn't get slightly called out by Mahomes in a presser? You think it's not enough that the Chiefs WRs are the joke of the entire league at the moment and likely feel very embarrassed? They don't feel that but if Mahomes gently said it at a presser that would change everything and light a fire under them?

These guys are well, well aware that they're struggling. You can light a fire under them, or you can light them on fire. It's not clear what's the best motivational tactic or if either is the answer.

The issue is a lack of talent and explosiveness.

Mvs is fast but not explosive.

Hardman I have no clue. Hardman was getting more looks when we had hill and a good wr corps than he is now. He’s the mystery of the group imo

Converting those would've led to the same issues as before the break. Which is a decent start on script followed by getting totally stuck once the script wears out. It just isn't as obvious because we had so many possessions because our defense was nails. You are right that those mistakes were just enough to barely lose. But that would've just been a cherry on the top of a seriously underperforming offense.

If every WR could think as fast as they run, they'd all be great. We watched Hardman fail miserably at this stuff. Are we seeing the same with MVS?

I have a hard time believing the coaches are not providing the info, film, and reps to make these adjustments, but at some point they might just have to dumb some of this stuff down and let them worry about using their feet and hands instead of their brains. Reading man with a single high and switching to go is about as elementary as it gets through, so who knows.

Maybe we need to rent that hard ass in Wash for a weekend just to get him to come back and yell at the reeruns in the WR room for a few hours.

The WR's suck and have all season. They have efectively neutered Mahomes. Embree is in over his head at WR coach. Nagy is a clown. They really miss EB's attention to detail.
