They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

I don’t think it’s impossible the Vikings would trade Jefferson. I doubt they resign Cousins so they are kind of in a rebuild. They could easily decide to trade him.

What I'm reminding myself as well is that last year we also had hardly any margin to a number of our victories, even against bad teams. We had 10 one score wins last year, two each against Denver and the Chargers, with one score wins against the Raiders, Titans, Texans, and all three of our playoff wins.

Compare that to last night, where our offense continues to get drive killing penalties, our receivers drop passes that hit them in the hands, Mahomes continues to look like his uneven 2021 self, and Andy, for whatever reason, has started coaching Smith era conservative on 4th downs in the opponents territory. All of that adds up to a loss.

Our board had melted down at the Bills and Bengals losses last year, and to be fair to this year's team, we've only now matched last season's loss total with two equivalent losses (Lions and Eagles). The fact that we're losing these games by one possession shows it won't take much to turn it around, but we do need something to turn around if want to make a deep run in the postseason.

Last year, Mahomes became just laser focused with a Brees/Brady like precision deep in the year and it carried us through the playoffs. Was he actually assisted because he needed to get the ball out early with OBJ/Wylie and his ankle? That might be part of it, but it's also clear he didn't have two complete bystanders at receiver who took a combined 90 snaps with 4 targets and 1 catch to show for it (MVS and Moore last night).

I don't think Veach is going to make any receiver the highest paid in their position with where the market is at right now.

MVS/Watson have been the two starting WR's and they aren't good short/intermediate WR's because they have straight-line ramp-up speed and take a while to get open. Combine that with Kelce, who is noticeably slower than he ever has been in his career, and it's why Mahomes can't just get the ball out early. It's killing the offense. I'd rather they roll with Rice/Toney/Moore/and now James and stop playing the other two. Hell, I'd rather Hardman take all of MVS or Watson's snaps at the Z over those two. (He was drafted as Hill's replacement for the Z position)

True, but EB got more out of the same KC WR's. IMO, it was his attention to detail.

I think Nagy isn’t good and his plays that Andy adds into the weekly gameplans are bad but Rice is not a wash with JuJu yet.

Until he can go out there and move the chains when we need it, no.

Juju made plays in the 2nd half of the SB that Rice isn’t making yet.

Nagy didn't do anything to make me feel better about last night's shit show getting much better moving forward. I suspect we'll keep suffering the same shit from these clown-ass WRs as he appears to have given them a pass.

In b4 "What did you expect him to say"!!!

Guys. Our leading WR was on Tampa Bay's practice squad in January 2022. Our deep threat was Green Bay's WR3 at best. Rice is a rookie and Toney/Hardman have never shown anything more than being a gadget player.

This team doesn't have a WR1 or WR2 and it shows

Just wondering what kind of a crazy draft trade would KC have to make that would allow them to get high enough to draft either Marvin Harrison Jr or Keon Coleman?

And their QB is SIGNIFICANTLY less talented than our QB. Their TE is significantly less talented than our TE.

Nagy just flat out sucks. I know Andy calls plays, but in the game planning sessions, Nagy must be in love with passes to the sideline, within 3 yards of the LOS, because he still doesn't ****ing understand that Alex Smith isn't the QB.

Also, Nagy is a ****ing chuckle bunny. He wants to laugh, joke around, and be everyone's friend.

That isn't necessarily a bad thing, except pairing that with a Head Coach who doesn't fire anyone, it's led to a very undisciplined offense.

This team looks poorly coached because they are being poorly coached.

He took exactly what the defense gave him on the shot to Watson, which was an easy TD if Watson had the basic awareness not to run a post at a safety playing center field.

Aikman called it out on the broadcast but NFL Live did a breakdown on how WRs should be doing certain things based on the defense and Mahomes is expecting them to do it and they aren't. And the guys they singled out were Watson and MVS, guys who've been doing this for years.

JuJu's the missing piece. He moved the chains in a lot of games last year.
