Two years ago our offense player's lives weren't reality TV shows. Let that sink in.

Wait, TH moved to Miami...

My bad...

Same thing with his Cincy fumble last year. He needs to get down quicker on those plays instead of trying to gain an extra 1-2 yards. Defenders are trained to focus on stripping the ball more than tackling the guy these days. Gotta be smarter against that.

And of course Mahomes had the terrible interception in the end zone. Need the two superstar players to avoid these mistakes. Mahomes & Travis cost the team 6-14 points on those two plays.

Meanwhile Jalen Hurts fumbled near his own goal line and the ball bounced right back to him. Very lucky on his end, but it goes to show the importance of ball security. No room for error in the NFL.

I was thinking this tonight. He did get dinged early. Aren't seeing the YAC or his ability to get separation. Still very good, but not nearly enough to makeup for not having a number one (or even 2 really) WR.

Some team's practice it, some really don't. It's more effective with players willing to sacrifice ball protection for a yard or two.

Like playing 3rd-and-long for DPI, playing for the punch-fumble is a pretty good strategy.

Our DBs tried to help Travis with ball security in training camp but he wanted to fight them instead…

Maybe it continues, but hopefully they can figure out a way to play cleaner football.
If they can get to mediocre then the chiefs are unstoppable. Just being serviceable isn't too much to ask for pro players. Just be where you're supposed to be and catch what hits you. No one is asking them to make the catch Cortland Sutton made against the Bills, just hold on to the shit that hits their hands and you win every game

Nope, it's the WRs thinking catching the ball is too much of an ask. They seem OK with a paycheck and not being highlight reel material. That said, PMII hasn't been what he has been in previous years, but that doesn't change that his useless WRs are dropping passes that sald way good WRs would catch.

To be clear, our WRs don't care, and their performance tonight supports my claim/accusation and them pretending to be mad about it is just a desperate attempt to not be cut. True NFL WRs would have made those catches.

If you want more at WR (which I completely understand), you’ll have to be fine getting worse somewhere else.

And there’s a strong argument that we’re seeing diminishing returns from the investment in this defense.
I get what you’re saying but I just don’t get the argument that we’re going to get worse somewhere else before we get better. The fact is we just didn’t try very hard and I don’t want to hear this talk about how we pumped so much into this position. We have one of the bottom 5 investments in the position cap and draft wise. I don’t think the pro wr groups demands were that unreasonable. We’re not talking about davante Adams. Someone said it best that we were so stuck on moneyball that $10m WRs were treated with such sticker shock. It was more of a confidence bordering on arrogance that Reid and mahomes were so good they can carry anybody

Yeah, if MVS got 10 million they could have paid Hopkins 12 million or something like that.

They tried to do with the WRs what they did with the CBs last year but our CB, secondary scouts are better.

We didn't have a Sneed and McDuffie here in the WR room. And we didn't take shots on guys later like Tyler Scott.

MVS is not Welcome in this town anymore. He can get as mad as he wants, but he failed at his profession. No excuses, he failed. He can go **** himself.

He needs not worry, coach has his back (coach Reid is always the nice guy), so MVS won't change anything and he will keep dropping balls.

Tonight was one drop too many, he's useless.
